Excellent question. To which no answer shall be given. Why answer when you can not answer. One thing is sure, the version released will not be the version Jack made. I doubt the edits will be to add in more honest reflections.

It depends what you consider to be evidence but we have posts from Jack about it, a trailer (I think) and I recall a picture of 22Cans staff people sitting around to watch it. Apparently it was Jacks farewell gift to the team.

I thought the design doc and art but ended up being combined? I know something ws combined into the art book, just not sure what it ended up being. From what they talk about the design in it, it was the design doc I assume.

From what they talk about the design in it, it was the design doc I assume. No the book was only for selected backers. The design doc was supposed to be for a lot more people. Also, they've been rubbing a documentary in our faces for about a year and a half now. Supposedly it's finished. So where is it?

But it would not surprise me if they dropped the design doc and call the art book it. The art book had a lot more design commentary then I would expect a art book to have. But then I have not gotten all that many art books. I had also wished the art book had more art. I love the art style of the game and was sad there was not more of it in the book.

The fact that there was more comentary than art in the art book just seems like a great example of how 22Cans does things than makes almost no logical sense.

Like calling a making-of documentary "complete" before the game is even 1/4 complete? Are we gonna start talking about the percentages again? Like how the game went from 49% complete to 51% complete half a year later and then all of a sudden it was apparently finished a couple of months after?

That is how Molyneux was talking about it over a year ago. Obviously what he actually meant was that he wants to be finished with it.
