Aah, just missed that you submitted this too. Most interesting part is at the end, I think, that Eurogamer will be doing additional coverage on the whole thing sometime soon.

Wouldn't be surprised if Molyneux tries to take credit for Mr. Henderson's good fortune in some round-about way after the bundle sales are complete. "He would have never received this windfall without meeeeeeee!!!!1!!!" Or some such bs.

I still have yet to see where 22cans, especially from Simon's claim of talking with him, has offered Bryan to be anything more than a publicity prop they ignored as quickly as possible as if he were a Kickstarter backer/backer reward/stretch goal/PC design document/conscience.

Glad to see the media hasn't brushed off the whole debacle as being not worth any further attention. Looks like the one year anniversary followup of the initial backlash is going to happen after all.

Colin Gallacher, head of Public Relations at 22Cans (for nearly a year now) must be thrilled by this. It's not often that the PR guy of a small company gets this kind of opportunity to engage with the media and online community! This is enough to test the mettle of anyone in such a role. I can't wait to see how 22Cans fields this one.

If I was Colin, I would be advising Simon to push whatever it is they have been working on in relation to GODUS as quickly as possible because if the media looks closely at their behaviour over the last 4+ months it looks like very bad. On the Bryan side of things if nothing has changed since Feb (no money, no God of gods) then how can they justify it?

Then again, maybe he's busied himself brushing up on his Mandarin. Why pander to a market where your reputation is completely shot when there are millions of people out there completely unaware of just how badly you've failed your Kickstarter/EA community?

At least he'll finally have something to do, given the lack of press releases, the continued non engagement with the community, the refusal to speak to the media and no product launches/updates in the last 12 months. Lately, I figure that he's developed the ultimate PR strategy to deal with all of the backlash from the mistakes and scammy, scummy behaviour of the studio - holed up beside Simon and Peter in a box fort set up inside a cupboard. Then again, maybe he's busied himself brushing up on his Mandarin. Why pander to a market where your reputation is completely shot when there are millions of people out there completely unaware of just how badly you've failed your Kickstarter/EA community? We thought about that with the mobile audience and yet 22cans similarly offers them (regarding the iOS crashes/freezes, the bugginess on all platforms, and more) a colourful interpretation of the words "daily" and "support". Now with translation fun? /popcorn

To be fair, Colin's twitter is actually pretty funny, like his responses to the world being on fire and the massive disconnect between being 22Cans PR/CM manager and actually doing PR/CM work in FB/Twitter etc.
