Gmr Leon, if you update the OP with new articles, could you please also send me a PM containing the links to the new articles? It would make it easier for me to keep track since I'm copying all (or most of) the articles to the board.

Just been updating this in-between other things, but I think we may be tapering off new articles pretty soon, unless 22cans does something else really silly this week.

Godus Wars Developer Kills Microtransactions After Outcry | EngadgetSeems they think its a 'sequel' and that it was 'much anticipated'. By whom? Either its a naïve misunderstanding, or yet more results of 22Cans confounding misinformation spin-wagon. Media needs to make sure they get their story straight and provide the correct info; these days of digital journalism there's seemingly almost no QA or Editorial efforts.

Godus Wars drops unpopular pay-wall after backlashThe thing I think a lot of these articles are failing to get into - whether it's out of fear of developer backlash, speculation, or seeming biased against in-game monetization - is not how " unpopular" the micro-transactions were, but how unscrupulous, shady, and shallow it was of 22Cans to have them present at all in an early access title - as well as how badly they were priced and implemented.

If you interpret that as it's not the sequel that's much-anticipated, but "an announcement, any announcement" it makes much more sense.

Poor wording. See, this is what I'm talking about; simple errors in context and misinformation that could easily be cleared up with a little Editorial QA (fact checking & grammar). It just sort of irks me. Here's another one - this made me chuckle quite extensively. (thanks Destructoid) 22Cans removes microtransactions from Godus Wars after they made everyone angrylinkBwahahahahahaha! Brightened my Friday. It's been a long week.

"godus wars is kind of like that rts game that your grandmother buys you because she dosn't know about rts games."
A longer vid of people ripping into how bad godus/godus wars is. One of them (at least) was a backer and his dissapointment shows. I agree with most of what's being said if not all.

Another youtube review. Seems fairly honest and like most reviewers this guy had a fair bit of trouble getting it to work right. He ran into the firewall issue when starting the battle and changing the resolution crashed the s3e launcher app. So all in all the same kind of experience many of us have been getting.
I'd like to know what hardware 22cans are using to test this game on.
