So this just went up on the Godus forums, not the Godus Wars forums steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/0/618453594744323157/ . Remember, keep in line because were holding these rules like a shield and have the banhammer. I think its even longer then the bloody legal agreement. Way to make the steam forums a dictatorship. Honestly what other early access or finished game has this level of big-brother style moderating? The quote from tikigod have never been more true. We are the Molyneux. Lower your standards and surrender your expectations. We shall add your analytical and sociological profiling to our database. Your playstyle shall adapt to service us. Resistance is mean. |

Hasnt it been there since Feb2015? Whatever the case their use of "unwritten rules" has always been ridiculous. Last year we spent a bit of time reminding them of valves written rules for moderators that they often ignore/flout in their moderation style. The problem with 22cans is they manipulate the environment to keep negative feedback off the front page of the forums which deprives people buying the game of fair warning of the nature of the game. |

A bit hard in a political godgame, called godus WARS, where we have the same complaints, over and over....
This is a nice one:

Basically this means "We don't like it, you no post no more" (You can't criticise people's ideas, opinions etc. even if you don't insult the person but simply criticise and idea)
FWIW "You are stupid and your idea sucks" is a clear personal attack
"your idea doesn't/isn't going to work very well" "your opinion goes against an earlier opinion by yourself" etc. is criticising.
But we are not allowed to do that.
Questioning someone's arguement or opinion could be considered as an insult as well on the Steam godus forums.
Asking questions.... really....
Asking a question is not a statement. It allows someone to reflect and answer a bit of critique.
Not allowed. I was warned for that. One post later by me I was banned...
Any way. Steam Godus forums and Steam Godus Wars forums are still being moderated arbitrarily.
You can praise as much as you want (even if it's utter and complete BS) but one word of crititque, or pointing out 22scones' overpromising and " you are outta here"

Heh, I still remember when Aynen went with the total arsepull ban reason of "rage posting" from those "official Steam rules" when I asked if their pet troll Fragglerock Ampersand "Have you even played this piece of shit yet?" Aynen was probably telling me that I should have said "Have you even played this piece of Godus yet?"  |

I don't want to get too into this because as I said it appears to be an out of date message from 22cans. What I do find funny is that we can have an open board here that doesn't even have a requirement to register and we don't need active moderation (Sorry Ba'al but you are a bit redundant). This shows we are a perfectly reasonable community. I think Colin likes to make out/imply that we are unreasonable because it excuses their lack of engagement and the development team not participating in the forums.
