So after years of relations between Peter and the gamers worsening and Wars being met with negative ratings all around and it not being played very much, do you think Godus is at it's end? Will they continue to invest in a franchise that hasn't been working and that nobody is playing? At least on PC. And is that the outcome we want? Is it the only possible outcome?

I don't think it's really the outcome anyone wants, however, at this point it's probably the outcome that needs to happen for anyone to move on.

I think this whole affair is beyond repair at this point, there is no realistic way for them to deliver the game that was promised at this point without investing a whole load more time and effort, effort that they have demonstrated on numerous occasions that they are already not willing to commit towards Godus, but towards side/alternate projects instead.
So the Godus dream is over, and its probably for the best for everyone. Maybe everyone will feel a little better if they no longer have to think about this anymore.

I doubt they'll call it quits. Peter strikes me as someone who would see himself go into a massive amount of debt before he admitted defeat. Simon, on the other hand, at least appears to enjoy money, so who knows what he will do. Only time will tell, cause lets face it, 22cans sure isn't talking.

I ain't seen no fat lady sing. The fat lady quit, as did the person tasked with making an announcement about the fat lady quitting.

Hard to imagine any more Godus related development going on. Godus Wars looks like the ultimate misfire.
Then again, I'm one of those crazy fools who doesn't believe PM was hacked.

Hard to imagine any more Godus related development going on. Godus Wars looks like the ultimate misfire. Godus Wars doesn't appear to be an "accident" in any way and appears like it was intended to bomb - much like my comparison of this whole thing to Werner Herzog turning into Uwe Boll and Godus Wars appears to be part of the "F__k you all" video.* Intentionally and extremely poor gameplay** that appears to be eventually destined for mobile through the number of unlock gates already deemed acceptable by 22cans' production/management to exist the PC version; repeat of launch controversy regarding in-game purchases in a game already owed, failing one iteration of Early Access to switch to another***, repeat of forum messes, the mess of the store page, obviously wrong numbers just thrown out there to sell the thing when nothing of the sort can be shown to be even remotely planned much less worked upon.# It looks as if 22cans are trying to kill off the Steam Early Access program through prompting legislation in several countries to address the problem. Everything else would suggest that hypothesis to have some merit, which would also support the "production" around Godus/Godus Wars. I really hope that there is some ultimate genius to their plans, because with 22cans' overhead they can't exactly pull a Digital Homicide or Code Avarice for too long and keep the nice offices. That possibly means we might be seeing something more of "The Fail" soon, otherwise it will make 22cans into yet another failed ego project like Ion Storm Dallas, though nowhere as costly in money to those backing 22cans has been far more costly to the industry's trust. * - If your hypothesis is correct, PM even got Jack to play part of Microphone Stand again! ** - That includes an absurdly-small number of unit types. It's not as if Godus Wars is a game like Harvest: Massive Encounter, which is a TD game that you have basically only have four offensive towers available - a small amount until you get to the point where you need to link up groups of the laser defense tower to focus power/range together into one tower. Power, as usual in this type of game's design, is the main resource/logistics you have to balance around. *** - You would have to be really thick to believe the whole "We're committed to Zen because we're now working on War." # - Going back to the Kickstarter habits, lovely.

Getting there. We'll see if they bother to make any updates other than bug fixes within the next month or so. If they don't, chances are they're working on a mobile release or putting more focus into The Trail, 'cause money knows, Godus *ahem* Godus WarsTM isn't gonna get 22cans in the black anytime soon.

it's over in the sense this is never going to be any good as a PC title. I'm sure it will be a relative success on mobile. I think it's fairly obvious that all 22 cans are concerned about now is monetisation, and the exploitation of gamers by using said techniques.
