<_< >_> How do we not have this thread around here? I've been a tad busy lately so I haven't had a ton of time to commit to any games, but I've recently been diving into Civilization: Beyond Earth and Skyward Collapse when I've found the time. I also gave Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny on the Wii another shot, and have found it more enjoyable than the first try. What about you guys? Also, if you're curious about any of those, I'm up for answering any questions! P.S. The main thinking behind this thread is for those games you may have only been briefly playing here or there lately. If it spirals into a more extensive discussion, I'd say we should spin it off into a dedicated thread (e.g. Civ strategies, Fallout 4 narrative discussions, etc.).

I have been up to some facebook and Iphone games. PC wise there is my go to Diablo 3. I have also been playing some X-Com 2 and bouncing into The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut or Grim Dawn to cleans my Diablo palate.

These days the main game I play is Jewels on the phone while I'm riding the bus home from work or before I close my eyes at the end of the day. I've made it my mission to earn the maximum stars for all levels. Not so easy.
On the PC I'm not really playing much anymore because A not a lot of time and B my computer really needs replacing. Last thing I played was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I am looking forward to trying some of the new games in my library, when I find the right moment.

For me, lots of Star Wars...
Was playing mobile Star Wars commander and star wars galaxies of heroes, both pay to win so I eventually got bored. Now playing Star Wars KOTOR on phone, had it on PC years ago.
PC - kerbal, farcry 2 and mean to play farcry 3 at some point. Keep meaning to pickup assassin creed black flag and shadow of mordor, but not sure how they will run on my aging system.

I picked up LIFELINE on Android. Very interesting text based "choose-your-own-adventure" style game, but done in a cool new way with messages.
I'm still plodding on through Fallout 4, finally decided to finish as many of the quests as possible - especially the main story - before the DLC drops next month. I get sidetracked easily by exploring.
I am considering making a list (spreadsheet) of games I want to play through to completion, because I'm horrible at finishing games, as my library continues to grow out of control. I plan to start with many small games, and the few ofhers I'm already part way through, and focus on just playing quickly and efficiently; setting goals, and sticking to them efficiently, is also something I need to work on.

IMSCARED is great fun, but I have been diverted all evening by the new Dying Light DLC.

Is Lifeline the one that even sends you notifications to sort of make it a little more authentic? I think I read a review from a friend about that, and it sounded pretty cool! As to Fallout 4...Eh, I've kind of been developing the opinion that it's almost better to focus through on the main plot of Bethesda's games, do a couple stray side quests here and there, then once through with the plot, look up the actual, good quests to bother with, because so much else of it is just utter filler. As to focusing through your games, I definitely recommend going through the small games and focusing through the plots of the longer/bigger games. Last year I made it through more games than probably any past one in a few years by doing that. Not an exact science, but How Long to Beat helps narrow it down, and then using that to sort of organize your games on Steam via categories (or folders if GOG games) to Small/Moderate/Big/Neverending helps a fair amount. I'd made it through almost all of my small Steam games before getting sidetracked with small GOG games, then small DS games. Lately I haven't really found the time to focus through some of them as I'd like, so I've been kinda bouncing between less plot-intense games to dabble with systems-based games (hence my OP). Then again, I think also sorting them by how exactly they work might be wise too, because what stumped on Steam was trying to run through a game that requires a little more...Skill, of sorts, I guess? That burnt me out to jump into Blocks That Matter instead, then other games. (In case you're wondering, it was McDroid, which I still can't decide how much of it is skill-challenge or sheer imbalance.)

Sadly that's how I feel I need to approach it given the multitude of games I have - that I want to play - but without a methodical planned play schedule I'll never get to them. I also have to refrain from buying any new games, at least until I start feeling like I'm getting some worth out of what I already own. UPDATE: According to HowLongToBeat.com my entire Steam library - not counting GoG, Origin, and other misc. games - would take a consecutive 286 Days & 10 Hours to beat (estimated). Yikes.

Another game I want to call out that I recently completed is Life is Strange. I've never played anything like it, and it's a bit hard to describe but there's something very compelling and original about the story and the characters. I'm hoping to see more from that developer.
I also had another crack at Plague Inc. after hearing it had come out of Early Access. This is one of the very few Early Access games I've taken a punt on (along with Don't Starve) and I love it.
On a friend's recommendation, I recently tried Pony Island. Extremely bizarre game. I'm going to revisit it once I'm done with Dying Light: The Following (which is set to take up most of my gaming time for the near future, I think).

I tried From Dust. Even in the menu my computer runs it at 7 or 8 frames per second. In the game itself as well. Weird.

I remember reading about that and thinking it might be fun, but as I don't have it yet, haven't gotten to see how it works. Seems like it could lead to some pretty amusing rounds. As to Life is Strange, it's not much like it, but the same dev made Remember Me, which I thought was a flawed yet stunning game in terms of art direction and trying something new. It's the main reason I'm even aware of Life is Strange, in fact, as I thought it might be cool to see where they go with that (and I still need to dive into it at some point, having gotten it recently).

I played a few games of Plague, Inc. on my Android tablet. Pretty fun for what it is; like the opposite of the board game Pandemic.
I haven't yet played Life is Strange, but it's in my library and on my list of "Must play" titles. Not sure if I've even heard of Remember Me, but I'll check it out now.
