From The Mods To The Community
I don't really know what to make of it. I mean, it confirms a lot of our suspicions... I feel bad for Aynen and Muir. I don't know how they haven't given up already. I know I did a long time ago. On the plus side, since I expect absolutely nothing, anything 22cans does end up making will come as a pleasant surprise? this part made me laugh.

So simon22cans wants to try to get a collaboration going between the mods and the production team. ...

This is just... really weird.
All Muir can say is that they "got the impression" that Godus is not dead. And restoring communication requires a plan, to be put together by the CEO? And the outcome of this plan will be that the Steam mods can explain their position on thinking that Godus is not dead? This sounds like a terrible plan. I don't think 22Cans should waste any time doing whatever it is that is being eluded to here. A normal company would just tell us what they're working on, do it and deliver it. I don't know why everything has to be a massive performance at 22Cans.

How unsurprising; another "absolutely nothing new" post that does nothing to address any issues, other than attempting to get people to "just hang on a little longer" and "trust us, things are happening'.
Nope. Nice try tho. Last one out, please turn off the lights.

That's not updated, it's got Dave and Colin on it. That being said furious moo has not been playing Godus on his steam profile?

I am not sure what to say. We all know it is more BS. I am not even sure what this is suppose to gain them? Make it look like the company is not going down the drain so they can milk a few more sales?

Well in terms of Muir and Aynen, good on them. I'm really impressed with their conduct these last few months and that message is well written and pitched.
In terms of 22Cans, I agree with the other people who have posted, they are on the long slow march to shutting the office and getting new jobs.

Over half the people on that list I never even heard of. And what the hell happened to Konrad then?

The selective removal of Konrad from that page is very weird. There are 24 people listed on that page right now. Of these, 7 are known to have definitely left the company, some of them many months ago (e.g. Bruno and Dave). I wonder if maybe Konrad demanded that his name was removed.

I don't know why everything has to be a massive performance at 22Cans. It's not that strange if we consider this a fly by night studio that's only reason for any extended attention is an infamous team member. They are not, and arguably never have been, organized in any way to be conducive to meaningful production, as indicated by their years of operation without anything significant to show for it. The only production they have ever achieved with any consistency, and even at this they have lapsed multiple times for varying periods of time, has been community correspondence, which easily takes the least amount of effort compared to their primary work. Incidentally, that peculiar aptitude for maintaining inconsistent comms over actual results really does resemble sketchy organizations pretty well, so props to them on that, I suppose? TL;DR: everything's a performance 'cause 22cans doesn't know what the fuck it's doing any more than we do. Addendum: just glanced over the mod message more closely and holy shit that's hilarious. Not because Muir & Aynen are still trying (their...uh...loyalty is impressive to say the least), but because they posted that in the Godus forums of all places. Not Godus Wars, mind, but Godus. (To be fair, after I typed this, I saw that Aynen crossposted it over to the Godus Wars boards too, but still...That the better formatted of the two is on the Godus boards kinda cracks me up.)

Its is any surprise to anyone how little integrity Muir and Aynen have? Its not like 22Cans can afford to get rid of them, no-one else would take up the poison chalice that is the Godus steam forum. If they had any decency they'd just blow the whistle.
Aynen and Muir... even less useful than a chocolate teapot

I'm just venting my frustrations and annoyance. Fair enough. I just try to stick up for them when they do the right thing because they do get hit, especially lately, for being the only people communicating with the community. They've been abandoned worse than anyone now. I know they've done things we've disagreed with. 22cans on the other hand are at their worst. If Konrad left and they are dealing with that through silence then that is a huge black mark.

Konrad was definitely listed there last time I checked. He absolutely was on the staff page. Here's evidence as of Oct. 2015; web.archive.org/web/20151018233551/http://www.22cans.com/about-us/If you look close on the staff lineup, though, you can see Konrad on the far left. His portrait and bio absence is very strange, as are the inclusion of people that have verified departures; It's almost like someone edited it that had no clue what they were doing or who is working there.
