Lately I've been reading about internet bots, AI, automation, data cloud programming, etc. and I stumbled on this keynote from 2008. All the things he talks about are still relevant today, exponentially so, that this guy almost seems like a prophet. It's a bit scary and eye opening. So super interesting stuff here.

Yes. That was a well done introduction to the idea, and I think helped more "average" people understand the issue - after seeing that, I've been a CGP Grey fan ever since.

It essentially passed a Turing test, since many people really believed it was human. And majority of the bot's activity were nazi reposts.

A prime example of how humanity can currupt anything, and that also our supposed smartest people have almost no forsight into predicting the propensity of the former.
