Well, after almost a year of false starts, I finally landed a job down in Mobile, Alabama as a developer. I'm not sure why I'm shouting it out on here, but there you have it. In a few short weeks, I won't have to worry about test runs, test escapes, or test plans. No more people will be breathing down my neck about covering a feature that is still in development.
Whoa, need to reign it in there, nearly started cackling like a madman. I've been stuck in a rut too long...

I fly out on the 17th, getting there late evening. Sunday, if everything goes well, I move into an apartment and do some roaming around. Monday the 19th, I start work. Now, if the rental places will actually return calls I might not have to spend more than a day or two in a hotel. Bleah. Well, I have the rental car through Tuesday. So much to toil over.

Well, for those interested, I'm now in Mobile, Alabama. My new job started Monday and I'm getting situated. At the moment, I'm living in a hotel and renting a car (actually land yacht since it was the only thing available) until Friday when my apartment comes open. The work I'm going to do is Java Rest development with a bunch of other stuff thrown in as well. It's similar to stuff I've worked with on the testing side so it's familiar, but not too familiar.
Life throws curve balls.
