It is that time again. My friends got me into Fortnite and I upgraded my account and got a couple friend codes for the base game. Again first come first serve. Fortnight is a "survival" shooter. You have 4 classes that you go on missions with to complete a mission which is normally explore a map for a bit and gather resources, then go to a point build up some defenses and defend the objective from Husks(zomibies). You can level up your heroes, schematics, traps and survivors from xp you get from missions. It's pay to play right now but will be going free to play next year. www.epicgames.com/fortnite/redeem?code=MZXANDUHFA9UG3VC9QTKwww.epicgames.com/fortnite/redeem?code=RKHDMGZPFAJB9BJQ8G7E

My first instinct was to immediately try to snatch up one of them links, but I managed to contain myself. Shooters aren't really my thing and my computer won't run this anyway. Best to leave the codes for someone else. But this concepts looks rather cool for a shooter.

Sorry to hear your computer will not handle it. As far as a shooter it is more shorter lite. Kind of like Borderlands. The level of your gear helps a lot more then skill. Well skill will let you switch targets faster and get more head shots I am sure which do more damage.

I have a backlog I've not even touched.

Lol. The good man brings us free keys and nobody's taking them. I'll give some other peeps a chance to have a look, but if there aren't any takers soon I'll take one of your hands. Someday I'll have a computer that can run it and it looks fun. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of visitors here these days.

Looks interesting, kind of like a little of L4D, TF2, Overwatch, and Borderlands mixed together. If you still hhaveany keys I'll take one.

Deth Are these like Steam keys or is it specifically for the Epic Games account? Like if you create the Epic Games account, will it then provide a Steam key?

It is only through Epic. They have a little launcher they use that has a couple of their programs.

I finally managed to redeem one. I was having an issue verifying my Epic account after signing up. Thanks for providing it. I'll try having a go at the game this weekend.

Is the other one still available now or did someone else already snatch it up?

Mashable has an article on this game, comparing it to PUBG... because that's a popular thing to talk about now, so everything must be compared to it. " The 'PUBG' craze is spreading"

Not a bad game. I can definitely see the Borderlands influence.

So I just signed up for an Epic account last night. Find myself wishing I'd done so before. The codes in the original post are not available anymore, I just checked. Fortnite has apparently become a sensational phenomenon.
Did you know that Epic is giving away a different game for free every two weeks until the end of this year? Not shabby games either. Currently it's The Witness. I already had that on Steam anyway, but this surely enticed me to sign up for an Epic account. Shame I didn't know before. Would have loved to get my hands on Subnautica for free.
