It's 10 webisodes of 10 minutes a piece. So far I've seen 3. "Seal of approval" is a term that was nowhere near at risk of coming to mind to me. This can't be expected to be compared to any of the other Stargate series really. Except for perhaps the animates series, which I've never seen. You can watch the first three episodes for free online, all you have to do is sign up. You can watch the first three eps for free, after that you have to sign up for an all-access subscription. I don't think so. Certainly not for this. Have a go at it for yourself. Cost ya half an hour tops.

Because I thought it as canon that it was first used in the movie? I’m not a big stargate fan you see but I liked the movie and occasionally liked the TV show when I watched it.

They do use the gate in the third episode. That's all I can say.
