I don't like: Ignoring a unpleasant question or answering with something that is only loosely related or way to vague to actually answer something. Mods that Cherry-pick in discussions. Banning people for minor offenses.

Thats easier to read than twitter, thanks.
He played for only about 3 hours. I guess the fact that he constantly posted on twitter and the steam forums made the waiting more pleasant.

To be fair, the amount of waiting up to that point is pretty miminal (with the exception of first settlement cost but they might have changed that with the latest patch?). The second expansion shrine is the worst bit and he went off and did voyages during that section so it may not have been noticeable. It is from here on in that the game really slows down really badly. The next expansion shrine is even longer and the second shrine he just unlocked doesn't actually reveal any (initially) usable land, so it's a double-wait.

Exactly this, once the settlements and long waits kick in and the serious flattening of land with its belief resource cost it all becomes a bit tedious.
Or maybe that is just because we have already done it so many times.
Can I have a flat home world in 2.06?

I suggested to him to play more without any distractions like twitter and the steam forums.
Flat home world, interesting idea. I think that could actually work pretty well as long as we'd be given the power to raise land. You start with a flat world which makes it easy to settle but you soon get bored with the look so you start creating hills and mountains. That way you'd actually feel like you're creating something instead of painstakingly tearing something down. Everyone's home world would truly be unique, even if we all started out from the same flat land. It would also make it very easy to randomly generate a flat starting land so that we wouldn't all have to start out from the same land.

So is there a sequel to this in the planning Monkeythumbz? Have you played Godus since you did this weekend sprint? I made some suggestions on the 22Cans forum about this which I thought were rather inspired. Perhaps both you and Matthew Allen could both be playing your own Godus games and Jack a dev (perhaps lead programmer) could be there to handling the Twitch chats and mrdrpink could tweet and handle the forums in the meantime. And of course beer and burgers for everyone.

I actually just sent out a somewhat organized brainstorm email out to the team yesterday evening. Would love to make these streams semi-regular and semi-organized. Will let you guys know once details on all this develops.

No euphemisms were harmed in the posting of this reply.
Surely camping in Wales is a chance to try playing from your 3g dongle connected homeworld. Whilst your companions recreate the opening few minutes of homeworld gameplay and remove a few rocks to build their shack...
