Remember the "Godus will never be F2P" and a bit later "Godus will never be P2W" spiced up with the "Gems are only found" phrases?

I don't like: Ignoring a unpleasant question or answering with something that is only loosely related or way to vague to actually answer something. Mods that Cherry-pick in discussions. Banning people for minor offenses.

The rabbit hole goes deeper than that.

There will be a god of gods that will get a small percentage of all income for some months and the god of gods is challenged frequently.

So he'll get a cut of the revenue generated during his reign only?

Peter Molyneux: Yep. It's only for six months. Then he's challenged to a match of Godus by one of the Godus players in the real world who has earned the right to challenge him. Whoever wins that match is the new God of Gods. It could be Bryan again. They would then get the royalties. The royalties are there for the life of Godus. Whoever is God of Gods gets the royalties. And it could be a lot of money.

They definitely took curiosity as inspiration - make people invest money in the hope to get something in return / win the lottery. They'll probably implement pay2grief as well.

I won't state my opinion as this can't be commented in a polite way.

22cans is selling antidotes to their own poison (slow progression, repetitive game mechanics, progression-walls) to idiots. At the same time they pretend that we WANTED that antidote and it was solely based on our feedback (instead of understanding that we don't want poisoned software in the first place).
The PC sprints will probably be nothing more than a collection of antidotes that can be sold at good prices to mobile gamers. At least we get small doses of antidotes for free. WOHOO
