Home is where the heart is, & other than marriage, It's not where I currently reside. That might be tempered by currently living in a place that is just middle of the road compared to other places I have lived. Honolulu tops the list, but since that was 2/3 of my life ago, it might not be as nice now as it was then. Many things tend to be sweeter in retrospect.

Indeed they do but that means that there were good things in your past so that is nice. Doesn't mean that there weren't any bad things, but not only bad things.

It is gorgeous here, but I would kill in a way to have my foot on good old Delaware dirt. Only if my baby was there too, which is why we are here to begin with. I miss being able to walk into a cafe and understand what people are saying in the background. I sit on the deck here and watch the people walk by on the beach and all I hear is gibberish. It is like living in the land of Charlie Brown. Wah, wah, wah wah. LOL

I don't have a problem with it. That's probably because I don't give a crap what they're saying. It is kinda refreshing in the sense that I don't have to make an effort to actively block people's blahblah from my conscious mind, the language barrier does it for me.

Yes sure, it was cool for me the first time in Netherlands too. It wears off after a few years. You speak fluent English and Dutch and understand some German so out of the six countries we had been to til Now... USA, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, and Croatia, you spoke the language in five of them and we have only been here a month and a half. I miss not feeling like a foreigner all the time.
