Difficult to believe suggestions will be taken seriously, but I've added my top three picks.

unfortunately this was yet another pointless "buy time while pretending we care." new video proves mobile shlock was is and all there shall be. No PC game ever intended. Just more "trust us" which really means "shut up! you'll get a P2W fruitpad game and like it!" Kind of reminds me of that "how should trees work?" 22Cans posted on the Steam forum months ago. It got pages and pages of suggestions, including some really interesting and original ideas. Nothing was heard about it ever again, and then the ideas all came to fruition... with "god seed" that allows you to plant one tree at a time, and an increase-belief bonus to abodes. The top 2 suggestions were about trees propagating themselves and followers interacting with trees and neither of these things happened. In fact, it looks like the whole thread was ignored and PM just did it exactly the way he;d always intended to.

This really upsets me because it feels like false hope which is tantamount to salt on an open wound, so I am going to go a bit dark for a bit.....
The graphics are great, I can't say much for anything else. The game with it's additional new F2p stuff is starting to remind me more and more of Settlers Online/Farmville/Restaurant Cafe mix.
Here's a tip. If you are going to SELL a game then there should be no need, requirement or incentive to HAVE to play it unless you WANT to. People that are willing to fork out cash for a game have lives like school, work, kids... and games come second to them. I abhor the idea of feeling a need to do some fucking lame ass chore for a mother frakin game that I paid for. So, fess up and categorize your game as F2p and stop selling it and open your stores on all platforms or take all F2p crap out of it. Take out anything that creates an incentive to buy gems or if you don't you are a lying degenerate. You get to make your money on one end or the other not both. A cosmetic only shop is fine, but let's face it, you did not even take the time to offer any cosmetics your greed overwhelmed you so much that the whole game is built around what will entice people to buy gems to make the game somewhat palatable.
And sorry don't expect not to catch of ton more of flack over the fact that you promised a non F2p and have made a F2p. I seriously think it is FRAUD that the game is not in the category of F2p on Steam and is not just free.
And I doubt this will fly at Steam so here is where it stands.

As others have said I do not belive that any thing will come of this till I have the finsihed game in hand and I see the suggestions in the game.

"Because it is plain obvious to anyone that apart from a number of individuals who can be counted on one hand nobody likes anything about Godus" - not quite true - there are many things I like about the game, the game engine look & feel, the sculpting mechanic is great. The big beef I have is the design around FTP and timers and resources that have no strategic importance except facilitating annoyance and impatience.

It took me a little while there to realize that you quoted me. Please try to use the quote button as it would make it easier for everyone to understand who you are responding to plus it has the added benefit that the person you quote would receive an email notification about it. (at least that's what I get, maybe not everyone has their settings that way) Anyway, to respond to your post. I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. Basically the only thing that I like about Godus is the landscape and the sculpting. All the rest of it to me are just examples of either nonsensical executing of design ideas or just plain dumb design ideas. Most of it falls in the latter category. We are actually on the same page here except that in my opinion the landscape and the sculpting make up a very small part of the game and in your opinion it appears to make up a large portion of the game. See, the landscape is like the basic setting of the scene. Everything that's going to happen to it and on top of it is what will make up the actual game. Now we had the landscape and we had the sculpting back in... well roughly a year ago in the alpha version. That's why to me it doesn't make up a large part of the game. A year of development has gone into all the FTP mechanics that you refer to. Speaking in development time they appear to make up a much larger portion of the game. When you look at the playability you'll find that once again those FTP mechanics make up the largest part of the game. Thus when I said that almost nobody likes anything about Godus I was referring to the FTP mechanics that are supposed to make up the game play portion of Godus. I should have been more specific. Sorry. As I have stated in a post earlier on Steam somewhere I the landscape and sculpting are pretty much the only thing I like about Godus.

A year of development has gone into all the FTP mechanics that you refer to. Can ANYONE imagine how they work? There are more than 22 people (currently over 30) and all they achieved adds up to something others can do in a few week. I understand they had to re-do their kickstarter alpha version in c++/marmalade, but nevertheless - what did they do? That's so crazy....

I like the art. The backend engine is close to there. The sculpting needs some work but is acceptable. All of that is destroyed to "ground to dust" level by the P2W paywall elements. The belief collection, the timers, the stickers ( and associated chests), in fact most of the supposed game elements (that are not mine craft build to have built) are there for no reason other than to drive cash shop sales. The game is blatantly, in every important aspect, exactly what Peter claims to be opposed to in F2P.

The game needs a sandbox mode. No belief collecting. No timers. No "Farnville". Build and sculpt whatever you want.

I'd venture to say PM has an abundance of both.
