This will be another fruitless idea, but I may as well throw it out there.
A little birdie told me there was a thing called Skype, and that it could let you make long distance telecommunications over the internet. I had the birdie burnt at the stake for witchcraft, but it turns out it's true! My idea is simply that, at a designated time, 22Cans take a few calls to answer questions directly. This will mean that they can't take as many questions, but they CAN'T be ignored either, or at least if they try to we can push them.
This might not be the most practical idea in the world, and even if it were I doubt they'd do it anyway. But it's an idea.

This sounds like a good idea, but rather than having a horde of angry backers all joining a skype call there should instead be an elected person asking question while the rest of us watch/listen in with no imput, kind of like having a glass wall between us and the interviewee/er (if that's possible via skype). Certainly we can all agree on some of the questions we'ed like to have answered.

Although the communication through a skype call is more direct it is also non-lasting. Unless someone records the call of course.

Unless someone records the call of course. hence my suggestion of a conference call with some kind of dedicated speaker for both the devs and the community. I'm not sure if skype has the option to have two people talking and other listening, but it would be worth checking.

If something is "on paper" it is there until someone deletes it. But by then it could have been copied. Spoken words stop existing immediately after they were spoken. Unless someone made an audio recording of them.

And we're back to coming up with convoluted solutions to problems that 22Scams could easily solve. Some months ago backers forum was full of threads like, what kind of f2p mechanics are acceptable and how to make stickers work. Trying to find a band aid solution, to a problem that could be cured by devs by removing f2p mechanics. If they wanted to implement our feedback they would have, deal with it. reference bit: 'Bitch' 'Does she sound hot?'

Unless someone made an audio recording of them. I should have been clearer, I suggest with the full intention of it being live for all to listen (over stream), and recorded for later listening. I also thought I'd suggested having one or two people collecting thoughts and questions for the larger community(ies), I guess that slipped out of my brain. And yes, I do agree that the best way to solve the issue is to take out the F2P mechanics. Except I think we're in too deep now, which leaves waiting for the game to release then see what legal action could be taken (I'm genuinely curious as to what trading standards here in the UK would think for instance), or trying to get some ideas through to the team and create a compromise. Is it like choosing between having a finger or toe cut off? Yes it is, but it's that or just walk away from the whole thing entirely, and forget Godus was even a thing. Sadly, that's probably the more sensible option.
