I am confused how 22cans would make a large amount of money on a mobile F2p platform unless they come clean and present it as such. Most people I know that play F2p expect it to be free and then pay as they wish to progress. Sorry, Invest to play is Bullshit and we all know it. So, are they planning on selling it and still having a store and mechanics of a F2p on mobile but call it a Invest to Play and think people will buy it in droves? They won't. As I said before you can take it on one end or the other, not both. This is another huge insult to people's intelligence.
PM is acting like a used car sales person. Calling something old a new name and selling it for profit has been around for years. Dietary supplements/ vitamins anyone? As I say this I say wave a happy hello to my sanitation engineer/ trashman on my way to the northern entrance/door to my abode/apartment and go forth on my way to the fitness center/gym so that I do not become one of the weight challenged/fat people in this globe/world.
This is pure snake oil salesman actions all the way. This being said, what can be done to get any goodwill back? Easy, Take out ALL F2p mechanics and make a fun PC God game that does not require or even allow any store to influence my actual gameplay, just like Wow and Sims does. He should have built a good game first that was complete without a gem and then worked backwards into a F2p if he wanted to be it right. Instead we have an unplayable PC game that only gave him the ability to make it somewhat playable with the addition of the store in his F2p. I say this as someone who played Farmville and other FB games for years and they are all much BETTER than Godus as it stands, and that is just beyond sad. Those games need the F2p mechanics to make money but Godus needs them to be playable.
Get rid of all F2p or fess up and admit what you did and refund the cash to the backers on a stipulation that it comes off your profit as you go into the black with your games on all platforms and comes to backers before it goes to any god of gods. Without this, this is no Goodwill and only proves the greed that you have already shown.
