So I finally cracked and signed up for the social network only to find I was already a member from some other craptacular FTP game.
So anyway mobile GODUS - can't delete buildings so it sucks if you build farming settlement late and have no land for farms. Why do abodes need wheat after you hit certain pop level, WTF 22Cans. Look I don't mind resource constraints but let me have the tools to manage it like the ability to delete a building.
Adding the wheat requirement suddenly shows the danger of introducing a patch mid game into a FTP a game. I had such little space that I can barely eek out 4 farms. What's going to happen five or so ages in if they introduce a game breaking patch that ruins a whales game, they will be pissed.
The biggest downer on mobile though is the sculpting. You are surrounded by enormous mountains that are such a pain to sculpt. FFS 22Cans why do you have to make sculpting such a chore.
I just don't see how mobile GODUS could be considered fun. It's too painful to scope. I can't even maintain interest long enough to get to the FTP blockers.

Is the mobile map different than PC one?

Seems pretty damn similar to me. The CMs can correct me if I'm wrong but it feels like its a pretty close copy of the PC game.
There seems to very few stickers which pushes you towards FTP it seems.
Can't really play at the moment as there are lots of server issues. I bet Peter has those people he mentioned in the video working on network issues for godus mobile.

can you close the app normally?
And sculpting is already annoying with a mouse i don't want to even try it with a touch pad.
Edit:
Top In-App Purchases
100 Gems $6.49 240 Gems $12.99 500 Gems $24.99
what is the gem to believe ratio ( I cheated 500k believe and it wasn't enough) or the prize for cards/sticker/expansion/settlement/etc....

Lol it keeps booting me out with connection issues so no need to close the app. Also makes it hard to test stuff. Sculpting is much worse in my opinion than PC (keep in mind I have iPhone not iPad). It's really hard without fine control of mouse. Also I think they took the destruction of houses through sculpting out because it would have been too annoying on mobile with the inaccurate sculpting.

That's the thing right, you're not supposed to be testing anymore. Not the mobile app. I can somehow understand treating customers as testers with EA game but this in a released version on the app store and nowhere does it say that you're buying into a beta program.

I'm a bit confused. As it is normal to restart the game when a new patch is released on Godus(PC) and this is only possible through manually deleting the world... is there any mean of restarting the game on mobile? How would they handle the situation if one bought and used gems and is now forced to start a new game?

They can not force it on mobile. Everything they do not they need to make sure works with the old save game or they are going to run into big trouble. I can guess one world reset and there chances at any mobile success will go right out the window.

Originally, in the alpha it was not forced either - we even had a button to do it rather than telling us to delete files/folders manually.

Once they add the Hubworld they will simply anounce:
"Congratulations, your efforts moved you to the next Hubworld level"
While that is, of course, a restart of the map and all your money is lost.

So on the mobile version you get gems occasionally in chests but you can't go over 99. Which means you won't have enough to buy an Iron Age sticker pack or higher.
So I bought a Bronze Age sticker pack. I think it worked but it disconnected my game and then when I logged back all my building were gone. I'm not sure if my game is recoverable. How pissed off would you be if you'd put money into the game?

Wow, Hardly. That's... special.
In the Questions and Answers thread (which George and Matthew have stopped responding to) I asked how 22Cans is doing in terms of mobile income. I think everyone in the office will probably be kept aprised of this kind of information, since the entire future of 22Cans depends on it. I'm still curious about this though I don't anticipate any answer will be forthcoming and we'll have to wait for the publication of the 2014 financials. It sounds like 22Cans' inferior internal QA procedures weren't able to pick up on this bug in the gem economy system that Hardly has discovered, so they've clearly suffered consequences from not forcing their hoards of exploited PC gamers to test this functionality.
I'm having a hard time finding any credible review of the Godus iOS version, from the perspective of a mobile gamer. Has anyone else come across any?

God of Gods interface has two buttons: "More Gems" and "Lots More Gems".

Just saw an iOS customer review which said they'd bought gems but their gem balance had stayed at 0. Sounds like mobile Godus barely operates.

Wow, that's just... amazing. Sadly, if this is any indication, I have a feeling that, by the year end, 22Cans will become 22Canned employees looking for a new job.

On their 'hidden board', it says this in the "Purchases" section -
What happens to my Gems if I restart my Homeworld?
If you restart your Homeworld using these steps and have more than 100 Gems, your purchased Gems will be available in your new save. For example, if you have 150 Gems, you will have 150 Gems in your new Homeworld. If you have less than 100 Gems, you will be given 100 Gems. These 100 Gems will not stack with your amount from your previous Homeworld. For example, if you have 80 Gems from your old Homeworld, you will have 100 Gems in your new Homeworld.
This clearly doesn't jive with not being able to have more than 99 gems, so, yeah. Who knows?

Have they changed the Mobile app description to inform people that this is an "in development" release, and therefore prone to bugs?
EDIT: NVM, just checked it myself. All it says is, "Your world will always be going through fantastic changes. Each greater than the last, so never miss an update!" what a terribly vague way to say, "This is an incomplete game still in development. So be warned that each patch might cause more issues or require restarting from the beginning.".
Also, this review made me giggle, from the sheer ludicrousness of it (do these people hear themselves?)
This could easily say, "Very good automobile, it often won't start or frequently stalls out though. Needs an a/c unit, window wipers, and some better seats, and greater fuel efficiency would be good. Can't wait for the factory recall!"
Less facetious, more accurate example; "Very good car, crashes a bit though. Needs more parts and less stalling. Very promising!"

I think it's completely unacceptable to release a beta version on iOS and sell gems for those prices when you can lose progress. It's not just the money you lose it's the waiting.
Just to clarify when I say I don't think my game is recoverable I mean I have now builders and no builder houses. Even if I can get a builder from a farming settlement house (not sure if that's possible) it would be painful to rebuild all those houses. Plus because I have wheat I'd need one wheat per house whereas before the legacy houses from per wheat didn't need it. That is a fucking big bug for an activity they want you to do (buy stickers).
Let me also reiterate that sculpting is painful. Oh and is it possible to dig down? I had a chest and I could figure out to go down on mobile GODUS. Can you still dig down on PC without a layer to pull?
Just to explain the reason I was playing is I was at in laws place and bored. It's not the worst mobile game but keep in mind the competition is shit.
