Have they changed the Mobile app description to inform people that this is an "in development" release, and therefore prone to bugs? EDIT: NVM, just checked it myself. All it says is, " Your world will always be going through fantastic changes. Each greater than the last, so never miss an update!" what a terribly vague way to say, " This is an incomplete game still in development. So be warned that each patch might cause more issues or require restarting from the beginning.". Also, this review made me giggle, from the sheer ludicrousness of it (do these people hear themselves?) This could easily say, " Very good automobile, it often won't start or frequently stalls out though. Needs an a/c unit, window wipers, and some better seats, and greater fuel efficiency would be good. Can't wait for the factory recall!" Less facetious, more accurate example; " Very good car, crashes a bit though. Needs more parts and less stalling. Very promising!" Its just an extension of the bullshit they have been subjecting PC gamers to for months. Dear 22Cans if you are going to hide behind a disclaimer then please make it an honest and visible disclaimer anything else is dishonest. If your game has game breaking bugs in it then you probably should say that and even if you do disclose it you probably shouldn't have microtransactions!

They are very likely going to get reported by iOS users for violations, or at least a broken game, if those sort of issues continue - if they haven't already.

A bit more info about the iOS version: First thing is that if you've been playing the PC builds, you've basically played the iOS version, the map is the same, down to the two "treasure temples" in exactly the same spot, the volcano etc etc etc. This really confirms my suspicion that the kickstarters/early access people like me have paid to be Beta testers for the mobile app. Version 1 mobile was the same as beta 2.04, so after playing beta 2.05 (settlement changes and storms dropping chests), I knew exactly what to expect when v1-1 of the mobile came out, mysteriously described on the in the app store as "Your followers will crave wheat is a new way!" I laughed thinking about all the poor iOS gamers who were about to discover that Suddenly you need wheat to build abodes. Storms now also drop chests in the iOS version. As an aside, I think the empty chest problem in the PC beta was due to someone hurriedly turning off the PC shop, but forgetting that some chests contained gems.
The only differences between the versions are that the camera does not rotate (I think they are having problems getting this to work for touchscreens and that this led to that wonderful PC beta where the camera rotation disappeared) and the F2P mechanisms - though in the PC beta, you can still get your miners to dig for gems, which don't make any sense.
It appears that all this talk of 2 streams of development is bullshit as they could not even be bothered to remove the gem seams from the PC beta. If you've ever (as I have) played the PC version with big speakers (music studio) connected, you will have found the Voyages sound sting when you launch ludicrously loud. However it sounds fine coming out of an iPad speaker.
As I've said before, things like the deafness to the hatred of stickers make sense when you realise that the PC players are testing a mobile game. How the analytics that PM goes on about are useful, I'm not sure, as the testers are not playing the game on the device it's obviously intended for.
My iOS game is far more advanced than my PC game, even though I've never bought anything - I've simply applied what I learnt from testing the game on PC. I've been playing it as a "casual gamer" and it is soooooo designed for this style of play that it's not that bad a game. Play it a bit, wait for belief/building to be finished (you even get iOS notifications to get you to come back when its done), play another little bit....
Sculpting is better on an iPad.
I for one look forward to learning how to use the happiness fountain and all that other mobile bollocks by practicing on the PC beta first. Bet you anything that Beta 2.06 is the same as the iOS version that 1.2 that will come out after it.

They are very likely going to get reported by iOS users for violations, or at least a broken game, if those sort of issues continue - if they haven't already. Sadly, that won't cause them much problems as developers are allowed to bug-fix after launch of an app. Especially when the app is free. One might have more luck in reporting the high cost of in-app purchases, which is something Apple are apparently trying to curb. I've had apps with worse problems that have taken 3 or 4 versions to fix without Apple kicking them off the store. As for violations, Path app got away with ripping people's contacts off their phones without permission (clear privacy violation) and all that happened was they had to rush out a new version of the app. As the PC players will always be testing the beta for the next app release, 22can will be able to react very quickly to iOS dissatisfaction..So feel happy!!! you're helping them look good and reactive to that audience

Oog I just read your earlier message which somehow I missed and I completely agree. All the evidence points to one game design and effectively one build. 22Cans are hiding behind their NDA. We need to figure out how we can hold them accountable.
