Yeah, this game looks amazing!
Though I don't think there'd been any announcements or funding pitches about it at the time we backed Godus. (Remember that was over 1.5 years ago now.)
What's interesting is that 22Cans pitched what, at the time, seemed a fairly simple yet fun experience, and after the campaign they went completely off the trolley with grand engineering complexity- completely smashing their estimated project budget. Yet 22Cans have barely delivered a core game.
Hello Games are pitching what appears to be procedural game content on a massive scale, and yet they already seem to have much of the underlying technology in place. I'd love to start even just walking around their world if they release a tech demo.
If I had seen both *pitches* side by side, I'd have probably thought Godus was more achievable. Sometimes things can pleasantly surprise you! :-)

No Man's Sky was one of the many trailers that made Sony the company that blew everyone else out of the water at E3 (although Nintendo's digital event was very good).

I knew it before E3 and was hyped again when it was shown at the E3 ... I just don't can imagine how this game will play (what goal do I have as a player?).

This looks like a mix of Jurassic Park and NuBSG. I will definitely want to play it when it comes out. I can't possible imagine any stickers or pink bubbles in this one, but then again, I never imagined them in a God game before either.

I don't like: Ignoring a unpleasant question or answering with something that is only loosely related or way to vague to actually answer something. Mods that Cherry-pick in discussions. Banning people for minor offenses.

I knew about no mans sky before E3. It looks very cool.
I fear though that it might become similar to spore in which you had a huge procedurally generated world but everything was interchangeable and more or less meaningless, discovering new species and plants isn't fun if they all behave the same and just look different or worse are not more than decoration. Other procedurally generated games often suffer the same symptoms.
Last time I checked they hadn't revealed much about gameplay. The only thing I knew was that they worked on some kind of strange multiplayer features. If I remember correctly players could affect planets for everyone and a server would track who discovered something for the first time but it was no real multiplayer. Doesn't sound very exciting for me.
Because of the lack of information regarding gameplay I wouldn't get too hyped about the game.

Didn't the developer sell his house to make this game?

See, Peter? That's how you make everything simulated.

Had a chance at E3 to catch up with Sean Murray, the head honcho at Hello Games. Apparently he's married to Louise Murray who used to be the Fable Franchise head, so he was palling around with some of the Lionhead crew and so I was able to have a drink with the guy. He's super grounded and seems genuinely into the game they're working on (unsurprisingly, of course). Definitely keeping an eye on this project.

They can be beautiful, vast, but hollow. Regardless, it does look like it's going to have some fun aspects. One of my friends calls it "The Starfox MMO" haha.

Have to say the only downside is that is is a PS4 game, *sigh*. I'm afraid my console is 'X' based from that other delightful company in Redmond.

Yeah I know. I wish I could.
EDIT: But despite not feeling quite well right now, I am stepping out just to go get my baby some chicken strips. So that's something.
