Just a little bit of info for you guys on the ranking system as it is currently implemented on this forum, in case anybody is interested. The rankings are bound to postcount as follows. Nobody - 0 Wannabe wannabe - 10 Wannabe - 25 Wannabe rookie - 40 Rookie - 60 Experienced rookie - 80 Wannabe junior member - 100 Junior member - 150 Experienced junior member - 200 Very experienced junior member - 250 Resident - 300 Class two resident - 350 Class three - resident - 400 Class four resident - 450 Gouvernor - 500 This seems to be sufficient at the moment. More rankings can be added later if that ever becomes necessary. As you can see for the first 9 posts you're still considered to be a nobody. So if you wanna feel more important start posting more stuff! But please don't interpret this as a call to flood the forum with nonsense, do post when it's sensible.

Personally, such ranking systems are a bit... 'meh'.
They're not to my taste. I prefer X amount of time being a member, and then Y/x amount of posts to reach R rank.

I'm afraid that sort of functionality is not available on these boards. You'll have to be content with your pink stars for now. But you'll reach a green star in 11 more posts.

Don't you love the color pink after all? LOL.

Is there a possibility to change the colour of the stars ? The colours of the stars change when you climb in rank. Right now you have 1 pink star but once you reach 10 posts you'll have 2 of those. Then you'll reach 3 pink stars at 25 posts. The next tier will give you your first green star at 40 posts. So as you see you'll pretty soon find yourself without pink stars as long as you participate in the forum by posting a little. It is part of my evil Peter Molyneux like scheme to get people invested more and more. Muahahahahah!

Or I just spam post with single letters l i k e t h i s Right ? That should help me to level up Or I could just completely strip you from your rank. Muahaha! Anyway, I've made some adjustments to the ranking system. I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with inspired ideas. So far I have sufficient titles up till 299 posts. I don't know what to name the ranks from 300 posts and beyond. As a placeholder I have just copied the highest rank that I have so far, which is grandmaster, and put number increments behind it. Anybody have some cool ideas? So far I have the following... 0 - Spectator 1 - One Hit Wonder 2 - One Hit Wonder Who Doesn't Quite Get It 3 - Hesitator 10 - Participator 20 - Wannabe 30 - Wookie 40 - Rookie 50 - Eager Beaver 60 - Junior Apprentice 70 - Apprentice 80 - Senior Apprentice 90 - Journeyman 100 - Master 200 - Grandmaster

I'm thinking about making ranks related to Godus but how do I do this without totally ripping off the 22Cans forum "ranks"? Like immortal and elemental and such. How do you classify steps in between a human and a god? I mean obviously there's demigod, but what else is there?
I guess I could go for tiny god, small god, normal god and such but that just seems lame.

I thought about the priest bishop etc. thing but I concluded that it wouldn't be appropriate to single out a particular religion to take titles from. Likewise I don't think taking titles from multiple religions and mixing them up would be a good idea because it would be offense to people. So anything based on real life religion is pretty much not possible. I guess ancient religions like Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian might be better suited but then again how do you choose one over the other? Perhaps going with an ascension rate or rate of enlightenment could work? Qetesh is not liking that idea though. But who cares what she thinks, right?

Well I think I've finally settled on a star colour and count system that seems sensible. All I need now is cool titles to go along with them. So I'm really hoping for more suggestions and a little bit of discussion here.

The unfortunate thing is there is no story to Godus, so nothing to really draw from. Given that wheat farming is the first thing to unlock really, maybe look to Mesopotamia for inspiration?
