I'm a peer pressure gamer. I went to school with quiet a few friends that make a living in the game industry. I'm kind of a sheep and rely more often than I'd like to admit on their personal reviews and opinions to play what I do. In some senses it's been nice since I've played a wide variety of games across many genres. On the other hand, I've spend money on some bloody awful code. I've always loved RPGs, but right now I'm playing World of Tanks (go ahead, laugh) and Titanfall. Can't wait to get home and play Divinity: Original Sin .

Way way back I had a lot of fun playing a game called Fire Power together with a friend. It was very simple. Just ride around in a tank trying to destroy each other and infiltrate each other's base to rescue the POW's. Top down view and poor graphics but it was literally a blast. I imagine World of Tanks is like that only much more advanced.

Not much more advanced. Simple 15 vs 15 skirmishes on a variety of maps. It's F2P but we still have fun without paying a dime. It truly is a riot with a few of your friends running around blasting things.

It's a great relaxation/fallback game imo, especially after an intense game of minesweeper or Dark Souls II. hehe.

I think some of the questions were absolutely abysmal, but my results are not surprising to me, not sure I'd treat that as a role playing gamer facet myself.
FCPE - Role Playing Gamer 4 Twitch-Fluid, 5 Simple-Complex, 9 Planning-Acting and 6 Entertainment-Difficulty!
I also though the inane combo/button questions were a 22Cans plant!

I promise you, they had nothing to do with it.

No RTS in mind of the author.

I scored FCPE - Role Playing Gamer: 4 Twitch-Fluid, 3 Simple-Complex, 8 Planning-Acting and 9 Entertainment-Difficulty.
However, I detest Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy, Lost Odyssey and Pokémon because I loathe turn-based combat! I don't think I've ever played a J-RPG all the way through to completion. Also, while it's true to say that I lack competitive-grade reflexes or twitchy demeanour and actively enjoy handling complex menus, maps and high-level concepts, I do so as a means to better enjoy (for example) a quick fix of rapid violence as well as (more obviously) exploiting a weakness, finding a key, or unlocking a new path.
Fun test, but I'm not sure if it really describes me all that accurately.

Seriously though, the test is a bit skewed towards specific games and genres. I can see how you're saying its wrong in reference to you specifically. I had a similar situation (even though I don't dislike turn-based games). By the description of what games you like, the first thing that comes to mind is Europa Universalis IV - but thats Turn-Based.... So what games are there that have EU IV level of menu's and tactical complexity without being turn-based?

I remember enjoying Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri, but that was such a long time ago I can't even remember if it was turn based or not! I'm not much of an RTS fan tbh, I struggle with off-screen actions of which I need to be aware (or direct) happening in real time. As such, I never finished C&C, StarCraft, Age of Empires or even Halo Wars, despite trying all of those games and really wanting to like them. Which I did... I was just terrible at them! I liked the Escape Velocity series - they were superb games, IMHO.

I remember enjoying Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri, but that was such a long time ago I can't even remember if it was turn based or not! Though I have never played Alpha Centauri (which is strange because I've owned it since forever), I'm quite certain that it is a turn-based game since it is basically Civilization in space. Anyone who's actually played the game may feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I liked the Escape Velocity series - they were superb games, IMHO. Age of Empires is really not a hard game to keep track of. I haven't played AOE2 much but both AOE1 and AOE3 are quite doable. AOE3 is pretty awesome by the way, good example of a RTS following a storyline.

Correct, Alpha Centauri is turn-based (just like the Civ games its based upon) (Sidenote, the latest Civ game basicly is the re-creation of alpha centauri according to most fans)
Off-screen actions? Not sure what you mean by that. The escape Velocity games are awesome though.

I spend quite some time playing Escape Velocity Nova in particular - agreed, a new one in that series would be awesome.

I am the type of gamer that gets frustrated and then finds a walkthrough. LOL. I spent a few hours last night looking for hints to beat the epidemic level in Theme Hospital. I am lower than dirt.
