We mentioned last week that there might be a possibility that we wouldn't be pushing out a new opt-in build this week as well, so I just wanted to give you all a quick update and let you know that it seems that will be the case. The Settlements revamp is still taking a large piece of the development pie right now and so our focus has been on this rather large update as opposed to smaller incremental updates. The good news is that this revamp, which you can read about in more detail here if you haven't already, is going to be a fairly significant update. It's our hope that buckling down and focusing on this update will really pay off once you all see the improvements it brings. We're also going to be pushing out the Settlements revamp to the PC build of the game first. Although the Settlements update is bringing improvements to the game as a whole, regardless of platform, we're still pretty anxious to get the PC gamer's feedback on the revamp once it's released and in a more playable state later this month. I know many of you are anxious to dive back into some opt-in builds but for now we're knee deep in Settlement stuff, but I genuinely feel this will pay off. In the meantime, we'll continue to keep you all updated as development continues. See you around the forums!

I think we had pretty much surmised and expected that, based on the previous thread. But thanks for letting us know definitively.

Since you made the announcement that weekly opt-in updates would be coming out, how many weeks have gone by and how many opt-in updates have actually been released? I haven't been keeping track of this at all since I'm not on the opt-in, but it seems that all I hear about opt-in updates is that they're not happening.

We haven't delivered them regularly since June, tbh. Last one was a couple of weeks ago now, IIRC. It's because we combined the long and short sprint cycles so as to get the Settlements revamp out, I'm informed we'll be going back to having long and short sprint cycles in August.

I believe since they announced weekly updates we've had no weekly updates, zip zelch nada zero. We have had one 2 weeker and 1 week and a halfer - with the others more variable, from memory. Whilst I'm happy to be proven completely misremembering I (still) play the game every day so any new shiny I've got it the minute they release it in fact in most cases before they have announced it

So, this little gem was just found and posted on Steam today. What gives Monkeythumbz?! Edit: I never actually read the post for the "No Opt-In Build This Week" on Steam so was a bit surprised when I learned that the actual message was "no build this month" since the next push won't be until late July (if we're lucky). There's a bit of a difference between "nothing this week" and "nothing for the foreseeable future"...
