I play Settlers Online, I hate myself for it, but I really like my guildmates. There are people in that game that have spent thousands of dollars on it. You can see which ones by going to their islands and looking at what they have. There are several things you simply cannot get without spending real money on GEMS, and yes that is what they call them. I have been tempted myself to throw a hundred into it, just to stop building the damn mines, wells and fields everyday. Popolous Eagle is a master of them game and has never spent a penny but is quite high up the ranks.

I didn't know there was an online Settlers game.! I had the original on the Amiga and most of the subsequent versions ever since though never felt the later ones were as good as the original. I'm not going to get into the extra gem purchases on any game. Too old.

I play on the Euro and the USA one because I travel between the two all the time. I would not suggest playing it if you don't like F2P games, this one is full force F2P and the pressure from the guilds make it a daily obligation. |
