I like: Cats; single malt Scotch; Stargate; Amiga; fried potatoes; retro gaming; cheese; snickers; sticky tape.
I don't like: Dimples in the bottom of scotch bottles; Facebook games masquerading as godgames.

On a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate the graphics for this version?

General design is good. Shadow and river glitches. River repetition - all look the same except for course. Huts all look like cubes, no visual interest at all. Temple and dock and boat are boring.

I'm rating the graphics at a 6 - not because I feel their are lacking per se, but because I feel that the graphics are functional and nothing special or fantastic. Moreover, the graphics for me are about the least important element for a game. Especially when its a game of this nature.

I rated 8 because I appreciate the visual style of the game. I do agree that all houses look alike and could probably use a bit more variety. And like Danjal the graphics are not the most important thing to me. I still enjoy playing games that are over 20 years old so in regard to those the game looks good.

I rated them a 7. I like the art style but do wish for a little more variety.

So far the graphics appear to be the most appealing part of Godus.

Agreed, graphics are one of the few things where Godus has been consistent and sufficient. They aren't impressive but they do not need to be. And they have been consistent throughout the games lifespan.
Some are more appealing than others, but on the whole it has always worked.

I gave it a seven. I like the unique style and overall look. I agree, though, that the cube houses are really dull, and I don't get it - they have great concept art, we all know they can do better than a cube, so that's disappointing.

Perhaps later in the game houses will start to look less dull, but none of us are willing to play that far.

I agree, though, that the cube houses are really dull, and I don't get it - they have great concept art, we all know they can do better than a cube, so that's disappointing. what I found odd was thag some of the early structures were fine (alpha & v1.0), and I don't recall too many people expressing desire for them to change, short of seeing more variety. And then v2.0 comes along having scrapped all prior designs, and replaced them with these weird round-edge blurry clay cube looking things; I think everyone wondered why they spent time doing that and not things that were heavily requested (which was a common theme with the v2.0 release). And yet they keep doing things like that.

The speculation to that regard was that the rather fancy structures from v1.3 were kind of out of place for what amounts to a stone-age society and likely will make their return in later stages of development. Something that seems to make sense to me.
Then again, piling up mud huts into 7~8 story cubicle towers doesn't make much sense either... So who knows.
