"Balance file changes" - what does this entail? Will this give us a quick fix for the present timer issues in the PC version?

I just hope this is not anywhere near the completion of the PC sprint. That should take much longer and require a huge over haul of the game.

new start required i guess. I would certainly hope so. I don't want any stickers/bubbles/cards/gems in the PC sprint.

I don't think they'll even be starting the PC sprint for at least two months. Then why bother with the update for the game the way it is now? Fix the core problems, then give me a flag or whatnot. This is like having a broken transmission and buying some new seat covers first...huh? Fix the transmission first.

I guess it's an attempt to return to the weekly updates they promised a while ago (before the big mobile-only sprint). At least it shows they are adding new stuff to the PC version I guess?
Also I don't think it'll be a homeworld reset (or at least not a mandatory one), it doesn't have any major changes in it.

Also I don't think it'll be a homeworld reset (or at least not a mandatory one), it doesn't have any major changes in it. I do understand that, but if the game needs a total re-haul then some of these little things might end up back on the drawing wall again anyway. I really wish they would just recognize the PC game needs to taken down to it's roots and reworked with no F2p mechanics at all. One with a true story in it and one that is fit for the title of God game. As it stands today, the PC version of Godus is very similar to Sim City with F2p mechanics in it. You can just call the belief.. Votes and rename the game Mayorland, one that has ability to buy certain powers from some real God called 22cans. In Godus we build settlements aka cities, we build houses and wait for followers to move into them, just like Sim City, in both games you have to clear the ground before you can build in it. You have limited resources in both games that you can buy more in Godus but in Sim City you have to just be a better Mayor to be successful. How does that make sense? A God needs to buy his way out of trouble but the Mayor can manage his way out? With such huge core design problems it makes much more sense to acknowledge that and hunker down and work up from the foundation. It just does not make sense to paint the car when you are going to have to take it apart to fix that transmission. Please 22cans, don't paint the car, fix the broken engine.

I really have been trying to give Godus another go. I have realised however as many that you can only play Godus in 5min spurts and then return to it 5-10 min later. It is a mobile game. Given the number of resources belief, wheat, gems, stickers, I simply feel limited. Please fix the entire balance of this game, so that if I wanted to, and I do, I could sit down and play Godus for 5 hours straight, don't give me tasks to do, let me play the game. Perhaps the problem is if you remove the waiting, then it very quickly becomes apparent that there is no game. What specifics can we look forward to as a result of the PC sprint. I can't name a single game that uses resources where it takes so long to generate resources, and then they are used so quickly, the entire resource management is broken. It is worse now than anything we were previously given.

So people are going to share their mod files so we can see how others think the game should be balanced right? That and I might be to lazy to try balancing it my self and would love to find another mod file I like to play with.

Just booted up this update, seems that it totally broke the game and now gems no longer get given at all. Sacked a couple hundred dudes and done. Folks aren't respawning and gems aren't being handed out.
Either its still trying to figure out how many dudes I threw in (all the people are gone, the buildings haven't started breeding and the pit is still flashing the sacrifice animation), or it lost count and is now hiding in the corner.
Either way, I'm waiting =P
*EDIT* - so, I decided to try out the new voyages. Apparently this voyages has something to do with castles and giants? When I inevitably got smashed and had to return, my pit of doom exploded. Hundreds upon hundreds of followers trundling back out on their way back home...
