Long time lurker here!
As an 'almost' backer of Godus on Kickstarter way back when, I've been keeping an eye on the game since then. All the sudden talk of f2p and mobile releases right after the Kickstarter had me worried a bit, but then Steam Early Access came around and I was again an 'almost' buyer (was especially tempted during the winter sale). Browsing the Steam forums saved me that time. Then came the long silence and I had become slightly addicted to reading the Godus Steam forums, but this time more for entertainment value. It was (and in a lot of ways still is) like watching a trainwreck happen in slow motion.
Anyway, since this forum opened, I've been lurking here as well and it seems a bit more family-like/personal than the larger Steam forums. I also like the non-restrictive discussion style. And the fact that George is in a slightly less pr-speak mode here.
So thank you for hosting this forum and thanks to those from 22cans that post here. Fabs posts here have done more to gain back my sympathy than anything else so far. It is -good- to see (and read stuff from) the people -behind- the 22can PR wall, and it's great to read about the actual development process (like the stuff about the early prototype, or the stuff about data oriented design (I even skimmed/read through the beta of Fabs' book on that^^))
As for 'why haven't you registered and posted before then, if you like it so much?'... well for one thing I often browse forums/reddit from 'not-home' and I'm not going to use any of my login info on an unknown PC. Then there's the hassle of 'Yet-another-login' to keep track of... and last, but not least... I really don't have much to add to the discussion. At this time I don't own the game, and the way it looks at the moment I probably never will (from what I read about the game it's never going to be sandboxy enough for me... I want a random map, I want unlimited sculpting power, I want emergent behaviour, I hate anything 'on rails')
...and with that I'm back to lurk mode
