Here is a thread to rant and rave the good the bad and ugly. Any movie you want to talk about. I am going to respond to DR's post about the Lego Movie. I loved that Movie. I went out to see it, which we usually never do, but this one was worth it. The 3D which I usually find to be an expensive gimmick really worked for me. It did not feel forced and yet I felt more involved in the movie. I loved the characters and the ending was a nice touch. I got a big kick out of Batman and the Space Guy. It was just the right amount of cheese and wit with tons of humor thrown in. Many comments that young kids won't get but their parents will. It reminds me of the Toy Story movies, any age can enjoy it. My only complaint is the darn song...................every time I get it out of my head a certain unnamed Dutch man will play it again. Ah well..........................Everything is Awesome.

I thought the Lego Movie was kinda fun. It took me a little while to get into it but then I was hooked. I hope it doesn't take them 3 years to make the sequel.

It is set for May 2017. This has been somewhat slim pickens for good new movies. The new Captain America movie should be due out soon. I like the super Heroes, I just don't want to be flooded with them. I still have not seen the new Hobbit movie yet and I am looking for to that.

I'm looking forward to the next X-Men movie (Days of Future Past)! Thought First Class was...well.. First Class! I think I've enjoyed pretty much all marvel superhero movies (particularly Iron Man). I think what I really like is seeing heroes overcome their inherent character flaws. I've never really been able to see the appeal of Superman for that reason so I've skipped most of those films. Watchmen to me was the ultimate 'broken hero' experience.

I recently watched Watchmen. I found it very very long and mostly uninteresting. In my memories it seemed to be better. Also I was waiting for the song The End is the Beginning is the End but that never came around.

We saw Frozen too. That was a sweet cute movie. I did like Brave more, I would put Frozen right where I put Epic. I am such a movie nerd too. LOL.

I liked Watchmen. Kind of was deep in a way. I read the thing and watched it. Towards the end, it was basically saying how humanity needed such a cataclysmic event to unite them and move past their differences. But then Dr. Manhattan says it never ends, as in all the guy has done is something that was a temporary fix. The fact that humanity needed such a motivation in the first place shows how badly mankind is engrained with such a tendency to be in turmoil/conflict with themselves and how perverted their nature is that they needed such tragedy in the first place.

Yes, and even Mr. Manhattan was a bit of a dick for how he treated his first love. I liked the movie the first time I watched it but the second time it felt so much longer. Not even sure why. I also love that song and really wish they used it in the movie.

This feels like the perfect moment to watch a 30 year old movie.

Saw the trailer for the new SpiderMan movie last night and I'm excited! I preferred the last amazing SpiderMan to the Toby Maguire movies.
