I think the million dollar question right now is what does Peter Molyneeux think? Can he tell the difference between his BS and reality? Or does his constant and continuous BS convince even himself - it's possible isn't it? But then what does everyone at 22cans think? After all they must all now that every release of a patch is only met with the same requests and the same criticisms from the community, and it's been what 15 months since alpha release? Could 22cans fire PM? Ultimately is he accountable to anyone? Oft times, highly intelligent people tend to be rather unconscious about their own fatal flaws. Sadly, even when they are, it's difficult to change ones nature, especially when one has been rewarded for that nature time and time again. I doubt any one of the 22cans crew thinks their time would be well spent sitting down with Peter and having a frankie about his optimistically duplicitous nature.

After all they must all now that every release of a patch is only met with the same requests and the same criticisms from the community, and it's been what 15 months since alpha release? Could 22cans fire PM? Ultimately is he accountable to anyone? I suspect Peter like most creative driven people think that his vision for Godless is amazing and when we finally all see it and understand it we will all hail his genius. You just have to look at programs like dragons den to realise that people like Peter have an idea and amazing drive to see it through even to the point of self destruction, where when everyone else says it's not going to work and no one is buying it, they say "your wrong". I suspect if it ever came to the point the administrators were called in, making an inventory of equipment for the 22Can's liquidation Peter would still believe Godus was a great viable product.
I doubt you will get an honest insiders view from a 22Cans staffer but my guess is they have all seen how Peter has made a success of various products and made a lot of people who backed/followed him a lot of money. If you're planning on riding on the coat tails of someone, you could probably do a lot worse that Peter's.
If would be difficult to Fire Peter as from memory he owned ~60% of the stock so while you could call a EGM to discuss firing Peter as a director of the company I doubt you would get the shareholder backing to see it through. But why would they want to fire him? I'm not taking anything away from their abilities but 22Can's without Peter is just another small indie development studio of which their are loads. They would have no chance doing the deals they have done or get the media exposure they have without his name. Have you noticed that every interview of Godless is always a PM interview with maybe Jack playing a very small cameo role. Godus would have the media exposure of something like WFTO without Peter, I.e. next to none. The sad fact of life is the best product often doesn't win, It's the best marketed product which wins. VHS Vs Betamax... From most points of view, it's better to have a average game which everyone is talking about than a great game no one knows about...
Like all bosses of a company Peter is accountable indirectly to his own people. While 22Can's is nothing without Peter, Peter and his Godless dream is nothing without 22Can's. If he looses the faith of his team and they all leave then their is no Godless. It's a fine line in the free world being a dictator boss. Unlike North Korea you can't send dissenters to a concentration camp for re-educating or force them to inflict your will on pain of death.

Is Peter advocating self-harm and saying Godus is the means of achieving that end?
" I love buying an incredibly sharp knife with which I end up in casualty 15 minutes after getting it. I love that. If I can get players of Godus into that mindset, that's a healthy place to be."
WTF?

The last few were a bit too serious and spot on; I want to go a bit ludicrously out of context.

"That's a healthy place to be" Like I said, I want these to be way out of context.

I think we need to broaden the search. "I don't know what we've created. It's definitely not a game." "Zynga has this amazing way of analysing the experience and trying to get more money out of people, which is great...I have to do that...I have to learn about the delicacies of monetisation, of balancing things and of changing the rules." "You don't realise it but you're doing something in something else as well at the same time."- Source.(I seriously don't have the slightest clue what he's referring to here. I can only imagine maybe it's providing data for Godus or something, for all the good that's done.) "It's a fascinating thing. It's pure motivation and a pure, tiny piece of gameplay. I think that, in a way, it's the purity that tells us most about it, maybe."- Source.Probably some good ones in this interview too.

I think you should get these published! Under each photo you could have the quote in context, just so it's not too mean...

Yeah, maybe I'll put a link to the actual article under each one, so that people can read them in context. It's all meant to be a very tongue-in-cheek jab a Peter's penchant for saying peculiar things.

Alternatively I think someone with Photoshop skills could really work with this image: Ehh, ok, let's take 5 minutes out of lunch for a bit of fun...

I am not sure what quote fits that picture but there need to be forum poster names above the followers and some kind of quote about how the community is picking on him.

Take one of the quotes where he's talking about experimenting and all that. Where the entire thing is one big behaviour experiment on how people react to certain influences. =D
