How about not thinking it is a great idea to punish me for ignoring the useless pile of excrement while there is no belief to do anything. Happiness. Yeah, not feeling it here.

This thread is in the wrong place. You leave your girlfriend to do the modding for a few days and this is what you get.

I've only sacrificed one follower. One. The only reason I did was because feanix seemed so excited about our feedback on the PoD. Yes. I sacrificed a man for art. Not for shallow bull#*@% F2P mechanics.

I haven't sacrificed a single follower. Only Astari converts, they aren't my real followers.

The only PC analytic 22caresless is interested in is, "have they shut up so we can go full cash shop on all fronts."

I have no interest in hearing anything, constructive or otherwise, from their butts.

My turn for a rant. Are we being punished? What happened to a single 22cans peep being around here? I am at loss and scratching my head on all this? I keep giving the game chances. I tried this newest version and I don't like it. I was told there was going to be a sprint and now hearing this is not really going to be a true PC sprint? Is this for real? No answer in my book, means no denial. I will love to hear what Monkeythumbz says when he returns. I am again trying to be fair and wait, but now I am feeling very much left out in the cold again.

I think it's due to what we've seen from some of the 22cans fellows either here or on Steam, can't remember which at the moment, regarding them going into a week long aftermath regroup and replan following the iOS release. Think Matthew Allen mentioned this on Steam, at any rate. Makes sense, but it doesn't do much to help them out following such a blunder of a release as 2.1 was.

This methodology still baffles me a bit. They release stuff, do some preliminary damage control and community handling for a couple days and then bury their heads in the sand - meanwhile the community is frothing at the mouth and chewing it's own feet off. Why do we have CMs if they vanish anyways after every release? (granted, I don't blame the CMs, because they do as they're told, and already work their butts off. And George is on an overdue vacation.) I was actually rather glad to see more of the staff picking up the pieces on Steam the last couple days, though. So kudos to them on that. The main problem I have is, this insanity could be avoided if they; A) Discussed the potential fixes or patches prior to the release, and B) They were more realistic about how those changes might be accepted by the desktop community. This isn't new info, or suggestions; we've asked it of them on many occasions. So far they continue to seem baffled by our less than positive feedback on things that don't address any of our issues. It's so bizarre.

We need to address the community's concerns." "Oh yes, well, just do this little tweak and now can we get back to my vision?" "Peter, please, that does the opposite of what they're complaining about." "Sorry, what? You just told me the issue was this, now you're suggesting it's something else?" "Well you addressed the culmination of some problems, but that doesn't fix the rest." "Alright then, do this, this, and this small adjustment and it should be perfect." "Peter, that's still just the head of each problem. We gotta dig the bodies outta the sand, dust'em off and give'em a new outfit." "Oh you're right, it would be splendid if the followers got caught up in the layers, why didn't I think of that!" "What, no, Peter that's actually a bug we need to try to fix." "A bug? You mean a feature! You see it brings the whole world to life in a new, wonderful way." "...Peter, you realize we're coworkers right? You don't need to keep trying to sell me on your ideas, I work with and for you." "Ah but you keep ignoring me for these trivial issues, now please, let's get back to my lovely thought." "But...We need to fix those issues...The community's ripping us a new one...Goddammit Peter." "No, you mean Godus, that's the spectacular game we're working on and the community's just a bunch of fringe cases."

Yup, that's more or less it in a nutshell. I have a post over on Steam where I elaborate on this a bit. I might go try and dig it up but I hate trying to find old posts in Steam. It's not the best forum software out there. I think it's due to what we've seen from some of the 22cans fellows either here or on Steam, can't remember which at the moment, regarding them going into a week long aftermath regroup and replan following the iOS release. Even if I resent him for it, the miserable git. (Kidding, kidding.) The regroup and replan was a positive thing overall and was different than our usual 'regroups' in that we were taking a nice hard look at the current affairs of things and those community feedback docs that George and I (and the rest of the community team) had been working on were getting some good visibility during this time as well. Which we were pretty chuffed about.

Any idea when this 'company retreat' will start providing results? (Yes I chose retreat purposefully, not as an excursion with the company, but the company retreating and regrouping to formulate their next plan of attack...) I think that after the v2.x releases recently and the announced balancing tools for PC, people are quite curious what is going to be next.

It was multi layer cake. With a bunch of plastic followers jammed in up to their waists. Had the audio guys playing "we are the champions" on a xylophone synchronized with staff running around the room grabbing pink tennis balls off the floor... bet it was beautiful. *sniff*

As far as ETA's go, nothing to report just yet I'm afraid. But I agree that folks are keen on seeing what the next steps are. I'm hoping that once the community team is back to 100% we'll be able to figure out a way to start showing a bit more of what's being worked on within the context of the 'retreat' you speak of (as I suspect we'll have a better idea of all that sometime after we get back to full capacity and all that jazz). Sorry I don't have more info at the moment! It was multi layer cake. With a bunch of plastic followers jammed in up to their waists. Had the audio guys playing "we are the champions" on a xylophone synchronized with staff running around the room grabbing pink tennis balls off the floor... bet it was beautiful. *sniff* A Godus cake would look awesome I'll bet. Multiple staggered layers. Mmmm...

Anyway, looking forward to any news you might have in the future Matthew.
