I was reviewing the roadmap just now for a post over on Steam and I noticed some fairly interesting differences from the concepts to their actualization in the game. Nothing too shocking mind you, but nevertheless kind of fascinating.
E.g:
New voyages: "Rewards for new Voyages will include new and rare stickers, cards, Gifts and unique items (e.g. new Followers)."
Guess we're just still waiting on those? Maybe they'll appear in the current throwabout ideas for something other than Voyages to do between Homeworld and Hubworld?
Happiness and Gifts: "Different happiness levels will lead to different unique behaviours from your followers. Gifts are purchased with Belief."
I don't think our followers leaving really fits with the whole Happiness level effect, so I assume that's to come later. Gifts being purchased with belief indicates to me at least some initial intent to avoid reimplementing gems for us, maybe, but I suspect I might be being naive since there's the cost just above it in gems. At least we don't have to pay to use them each time, I guess, which is something else that we had been concerned about before.
