The whole expansion beacons affair is a sad one indeed. I have no idea whether this will ever be addressed but I certainly hope so. Don't set your expectations too high though. Perhaps colin22cans could have a look at this. If enough people ask for it I'm sure there's something we could do It was designed in that way by the design team so that the player is lead on a path around Homeworld to the Lighthouse. How many people would have to ask for it?

I am asking for the beacons to be changed. How about a poll for Colin to see if anyone would like beacons changed?

Regardless of the Beacon situation I plan on continuing until I unlock the lighthouse. Mainly because Astari have great personality and I've bonded with my followers. Does that sound crazy or what?! LOL

When I had to make difficult choices like destroying one of their homes so I could get to a beacon or a shrine. The way they would sit and mope and cry when they were homeless; and having to encourage them to rebuild. They just had so many human aspects that it was difficult NOT to care about them. Like their expressions when they were lost or tired or when they couldn't climb a step. It is a wonderful concept for a game! And I hope to see what 22 Cans comes up with next. I'll be watching for improvement on the beacon situation and if they add an antagonist for the Astari.

Then did you start to care for those specific followers whose home you destroyed? How did you tell them apart from the rest of the bunch?

... By their names. I found a few duplicate names but for the most part each follower had their own unique name. Yes, I know they look alike but if you zoom in you can see the difference between the men and the women in both the Astari and the followers; the belts, the hair and chest and the Astari masks. Most of all the heckling laughter of the Astari cracks me up!

I have to admit, I find the Astari laughter amusing as well. Honestly, between that and the Astari festival I find the Astari far more likable than my own followers.

The names don't offer enough distinction. For me to bond with the followers they would have to be individuals. They need to have their own characteristics and behaviours. If they don't have that then they should at least be visually distinguishable. But preferably both.

Oh how I love this game. I've just completed all of the beacons. Now I'm lost. More please. And thank you.

I would like the option of opening up more beacons.
I'm on Weyland, now. I started two weeks ago.
Highly addictive, as my husband is hooked on it, too. We spends hours and hours on it.
If we're putting in suggestions, cloud cities.
Possibly space exploration and facing other challenges. Terraforming...
Oh please please please.

Wish they would update ive got nothing to do other then way world I think it is called way world is about the same size as homeworld with 3 Astari village and it's harder due to biomes (you can only build farms and mines in limited areas). I wish they had chuck in another couple of lands, I know from experience with the editor they actually didn't take that long to create. They could of added new house models to increase the ages. I know there was tonnes of other features missing but they could of kept going with the additional lands easily.... Sigh.
