This week, all teams have involved in planning for the next update release, codenamed "Discovery". We've also commenced preliminary work on bringing Godus to Android devices, as well as being able to visit other people's Homeworld. Art:- Creating new Halloween assets
- Concepting new GUI for Facebook integration
Audio:- Final tweaks on Weyworld audio
- Android compatibility
Code:- Bug fixing for Update 3
- Android compatibility
- Facebook integration (see your friends, visit your friends’ world)
- Improvements to sculpting
Design:- New Voyages creation
- Design for Facebook and Twitter integration
- Balance changes and updates for next week's update (iOS and main branch of Steam)
Server:- Android IAP compatibility
- Overall Android compatibility work
- New and improved analytics
- New push notifications system
- Visit friend’s Homeworld back-end work
Production:- iOS Update 3 submitted to Apple
- Update 4 planning and organisation
- JIRA improvements!
- Steam opt-in release
- Moar spreadsheets
Additional Notes:- We're moving ahead with bringing Godus to Android, not least in response to the multiple daily requests across Facebook, Twitter, Kickstarter and our official forums we receive about this, but also so as to get the game into as many people's hands across as many different territories as possible.
- The sprint planning doc for this current sprint will be shared early next week, which will provide additional context.
- A confirmed ETA for the Balance File Editor and Steamworks integration tools will be shared in the first half of next week.
- The first video with Peter's answers to the community questions submitted by Gmr Leon will be shared next week.
