In this first video of a three-part series, Peter & Jack answer a veritable myriad of questions posed by you - the Steam community - about Godus, its current state and what the future holds for our regenesis of the god game. It's a lengthy one, so settle back with a nice hot beverage and enjoy Peter's dulcet tones as we answer your burning questions.
Many thanks to Gmr Leon for collating and submitting all the questions - much obliged!

Asked on the steamboards, but cross-post here: Is there a transcript George? Also obligatory - that deathstare. More importantly, what the hell is that sculpting feature used in the end of the video. That looks super smooth. Answering Peter's question at the end of the first video: Maintenance first, tie up the loose ends and get things figured out. Then dive into multiplayer with most of the fires doused and issues resolved. Definitely do not create a massive obstacle, before fixing the current complications.

Did anyone else think they had a cardboard cutout of Peter before he first moved? I thought sure they had some synced up duel video thing going with him.
I am commenting as I watch the video and started a little late, but early in the video did they have a follower with a though bubble?
On the sticker/card re-though. GOD please yes re-think it. Do something else.
Interesting to see Peter thinks of a hobby as something you do 10 min a day, when I think of hobby, from my war hammer miniature days, a hobby was setting down for an hour or two painting figures.
Personally I am not sure I would say just muiltiplayer will make Godus a PC game. Also did I miss hear or did he say the game was only 15% complete. I assume that was a miss speak if I heard correctly.
I like the idea of the tools menu so you can select a mass or fine sculpt. I think that would help with a more PC like game.
I agree with the final question. Tighten things up and fix what you have before going to mulitplayer sprint.

He looked rather pissed at the start of the video. Its his death-stare, I think we'll be seeing it turn up in the future. People do love photoshop afterall...

Once I get home and can watch the video, thoroughly, I'll be able to make applicable commentary.

Quick comment after ~3:00 in. If you are going to let us change everything (down to messing about with lua), then it's only going to be really tech savvy people who are going to do that, in which case, we are going to be totally fine with it being very rough and user unfriendly. If it's possible, an extra steam branch of "literally what we use to piss about with in-house" would be perfect for this purpose.

Allowing these tech-savvy people to share their creations. (I.E. modding tools)

Which is why some developer types, who don't develop games per se - like me, went into the KS in the first place.

Which is why some developer types, who don't develop games per se - like me, went into the KS in the first place. What do you mean with "who don't develop games per se" - you talking about developing a concept, which the "player" then can use to create the game with or whatnot? Creating the tools, the sandbox - and then just unleash the players onto it. (Much like Minecraft is little of a game by itself.)

I mean I'm a developer by trade. I just happen not to be a games developer.
