A new video update has just been posted.
Apparently "cheating is bad". Also Peter says "Please play Godus".

In work, so haven't watched the video, but He's totally a Sam Jack looks very bored in that still. Well he also often has that certain look on his face when Peter is talking. The look that sort of says "he's overly lyrical again" or "uh oh, I bet people are gonna be focussing on that comment a lot".

Sometimes i think they could make more money if they would work as comedians instead of developing games. Watching the videos is much more fun than watching or playing the game.

I wonder if microphone stand is in Jack's job description.

No we're not actually going to do that You're talking bollocks Not a chance in hell are three that pop up constantly on jacks face when Peter is waffling. I can only hope the new update is as full of lol.

For anyone who hadn't caught it yet. A new video update has been released adressing some of the questions that couldn't be answered during the AMA.
At the end of the video Peter reassures us that everybody who has paid the 14 pounds for the game will get free updates for life. I wonder how long it'll be before they'll turn that one around. My bet is on about 3 years. Anyone else care to venture a guess?

Everyone will get free updates. That's easy because they're not charging for the game on at least one platform. It's a f2p mobile game and that model currently works (sadly). Give players features, but compel them to spend money to 'get the most out of the new feature'. Dangle a carrot. It's delightful. Look at this shiny thing. Click on it. Delicious! Would you like to see what's under that? Aren't you curious? Only $2 to see it instantly...
The PC game will use the same model. It's not like they are maintaining two separate codebases - I'd say there are differences here and there to get it built for the different platforms, but I imagine using a 3rd party engine (Marmalade) will remove a lot of the effort there. They'll still pump those feature updates into the $15 Steam game for free. Eventually, they expect PC gamers to want that shop because mobile players 'have all those cool additions'. Hopefully the review page will give potential new players pause for thought.
Don't buy into a lie that they are making a good PC game and a completely different mobile game. That's not how this works. "The biggest responsibility of a designer, surely, is to think about the money side." That means doing the minimum effort for maximum return.
