How is this game? From what I've seen of it so far, it seems like a really good game, but I haven't had the chance to buy it yet.

I actually haven't had a chance to play it - what with having a day job, and the huge backlognof games (mentioned above) - but everything I've seen about it I am hoping it's as fun as it looks. I think Monkeythumbz might have played it some.

I think Monkeythumbz might have played it some. Nope, it's not available on iPad and my ancient (i.e. 2011) MacBook wouldn't run it. There's a good chance I'll be investing in a more powerful desktop computer later this year, probs a top of the range iMac, so provided it run on Mac OS X you can bet I'll be checking it out then. Love me a good cRPG.

I wish I had a reason to buy a Mac, but since changing careers from graphic design to drafting/engineering I don't have the need; and as a designer I was aalways too poor to afford one. Ironically, my new career provides the finances, but since I prefer PCs for gaming that's where my computer funds are focused. I guess I can take one for the team and dedicate some hd space for Wasteland 2, and spend a few hours this weekend.

My husband has put some hours into Wasteland 2. I haven't heard him say much about it, but it did keep his attention for a while, and I heard some chuckling from his side of the gaming desk whilst he was playing it.

I love when a game tickles in just the right places. I have it all installed and will clear a couple hours this weekend to give it a run.

I wish I had a reason to buy a Mac... Two words: Windows rot. Macs take about three times longer to degrade performance-wise over time than a Windows PC due to the Unix kernel. A good PC lasts about three or four years, a good Mac lasts about five or six. At least, that's the theory. I've only ever really used Macs for home use ever since I was growing up in the late '80s (thank you Mum & Dad), so I'm just more familiar & comfortable with that OS.

We've messed about with many brands and OS solutions in our home. Hackintosh for our media sever, iPhone for me, Android for the Hubby, Apple TV in the great room, but our gaming PC's have almost always been Intel/AMD machines. We gave iMacs a go in the G3 era (1998 I think?) But they never really "wow'd" us or gave us a reason to continue gaming on them. Apple fills a happy little niche in our lives, but gaming certainly isn't it.
Come to think of it... That iMac never really died. I bet it would boot up immediately if we pulled it out of the loft.

I've only ever really used Macs for home use ever since I was growing up in the late '80s (thank you Mum & Dad), so I'm just more familiar & comfortable with that OS. Interesting, I hadn't really heard about that before. I'll have to read up on this Windows Rot theorem - it would explain the whole upgrade conundrum I run into every few years, and the slowly debilitating freezes Windows experiences over time. I grew up using both platforms; over the yesrs my dad went through several Apple Macintoshs, IBMs, and Commodores. Though at some point in the 80's it was PCs all the way (down). It wasn't until the late 90's I was reintroduced to Apples, studying graphic design in art college. Ever since then the distinction is clear for me; Apples are better for art, media, programming, and web design; PCs (Windows) are better for gaming, modding, engineering and industrial type industries. I love art, hence I'm a Mac when I'm in a artistic mindset. I'm PC when I'm in a geek/nerd mindset. Of course, neither is mutually exclusive - that would be boring... versatility is the spice of life.

My laptop is like 8 years old and it still runs fine.
I should add that it basically runs continuously.

Didn't know I still had it (got it in 1995), but the battery is missing. Curious, if I can find a replacement pack or maybe rig something, I wonder if it'd run.

It would probably run but you probably can't do much with it besides playing old old games.
