Could have sworn a similar reward was promised by 22Cons... Wonder what ever happened to it

I like: Cats; single malt Scotch; Stargate; Amiga; fried potatoes; retro gaming; cheese; snickers; sticky tape.
I don't like: Dimples in the bottom of scotch bottles; Facebook games masquerading as godgames.
Steam: stonelesscutter

What could be coming? The trail? Or he quits. Or like a good little protégé, he's learning the shadowy art of over-hyping the most basic of things. #miniMolyneux

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: What if shady indie developers had to deal with their own brand of customer service? Or maybe receiving good customer service might set an example they could appreciate and understand for their own customers? (mollygos, the "PR/CM" of Chucklefish who makes a mess of anything she touches - hired on basis of nepotism and not by any sense of competence - and so she never learned anything from this exchange) mollygos @mollygos "Dear @pncbank_Help you are the fucking worst" 4 AM - 3 Jul 2014 PNC Bank Help @pncbank_Help Jul 3 @mollygos What happened!? I want to help make this right! Feel free to DM us additional details regarding this issue. Thanks! ^AC PNC Bank Help @pncbank_Help Jul 3 @mollygos Could you please follow so I can DM you back? Also is it okay if I call you internationally? ^AC mollygos @mollygos Jul 3 @pncbank_Help Sorry, followed back. Thanks for answering. And yes, it's ok. PNC Bank Help @pncbank_Help Jul 3 @mollygos Could you please provide your UK phone number and the best time to call? I want to get this straightened out. ^AC Anon Don @anon_The_Don Jul 3 @mollygos @pncbank_Help Molly, Take this as an example of customer interaction done right. Liam Nichol @lnmclovin Jul 4 @mollygos @pncbank_Help At least they respond to pissed off consumers, instead of calling you a vulture And instead of banning them like 22cans does to unhappy customers on the Steam forums because of the fake Steam rules 22cans (ab)uses.

This just in: 22cans now hiding behind an NDA as to why they aren't really participating in the Early Access program and explanation on how 22cans is supposedly in a "PC-focused sprint" as they're selling Godus by in the Steam store: steamcommunity.com/app/232810/discussions/6/618459109269391232/Aynen, on more PR liability: "Personally, I don't think it ended up being a mobile game, as it hasn't 'ended up' at all. It's still very much in progress. Much of what you can see now in the current version is subject to change. I've seen some of the incoming changes myself, but I can't go into detail about it. (NDA) The reason I didn't speak up in this thread is because it tends to simply turn into an 'is not!' 'is too!' kind of thing between those who do think the game will change and those who don't. So I try to stick to just moderating." Except when he opens his gob to exchange which foot resides in it up to the kneecap... So apparently he can speak about the upcoming changes existing but the details are covered by the NDA...wait...discussing that there are changes isn't covered by the same NDA? Is he trying to break BS Meters or is this 22cans' new community management strategy? Tell false hopes, but then hide the details conveniently behind an "NDA"?

Why can they not just issue refunds to those of us who are completely fucked off with this whole thing. If they are raking it in via mobile then a little cash loss to the Steam community shouldn't be a problem. I'd imagine most would just leave if they got their few dollars back.

Because that would be the honest thing to do in good faith business practices. 22cans obviously don't believe in good faith business practices, something that becomes more and more clear over time. They had better stick entirely to f2p mobile for "The Trial" and forget about trying anywhere else, because judging from that Kickstarter there wasn't much faith left in PM even then, and so getting impressions from "free games" is about the best they can hope for now. They obviously didn't care about the faithful they screwed over on the crowdfunding, nor do they care about restoring faith. Peter Molyneux has become Electronic Arts.

Not sure if you've dug deep enough into this whole mess to catch on, but this is pretty standard fare. During the previous NDA/blackout, they were able to tell us similar vague nonsense, but nothing of the details.

Not sure if you've dug deep enough into this whole mess to catch on, but this is pretty standard fare. During the previous NDA/blackout, they were able to tell us similar vague nonsense, but nothing of the details. At this stage they (22cans as distinct from Aynen and Muir) don't speak because they don't want to dig the hole any deeper. If they make promises they risk creating expectations if they divulge specific details they risk getting pillored for those not meeting previous promises. Hence they are taking a let the work speak for itself approach. Unfortunately the work is progressing so slowly we don't see any progress despite some obviously being made behind the scenes and not ready for prime time. There are several deficits in 22cans approach that make life harder and communication harder. They are 2 years + into the development but progress wise they are about 9 months worth of useful content due to wasted time on mobile distractions. Means patience is long since exhausted. They have no plan or road map they are sharing. They appear to be lurching between short term objectives with no view of the whole. Doesn't lead to a good end product. They have no certainty of funding and resources and as such cant promise anything as peter could pull plug at any time. All this leads the situation we find ourselves in at the moment.
