It is and I disagree with a pass mark. You can't get a passing grade by handing in any old rubbish.

The words "iterative development cycle" in relation to universe sim fill me with dread.

We just needed enough good examples to point out how bad some of the Kickstarter abuses really were. Monkeythumbz - Well said!

I think he was expressing disbelief at the quote rather than agreeing with it. I think "WOW!" describes a good response to something put necessarily blunt, as the rest of the quote was omitted (particularly the more-than-gracious "passing grade" bit...along with "avoid a truly huge amount of fallout").

It's ambiguous. I could say Wow! I can't believe you think that or Wow! You are spot on with that criticism. I interpret it as the former. Maybe monkeythumbz will clarify.

I interpreted it as an exclamation of surprise at how someone phrased that passage, as there's not much else to offer his thoughts otherwise, and it was rather harshly-worded. I was hoping so, which is why I tagged him.

I don't blame him, as he's got quite a better job now doing fun work, and from how promising his other recent tweets look I look forward to seeing more.

Not a Jupiter sized world, but much nicer way to view a "map", I guess they couldn't make Godus layers bend *joke* So is the concept more resource management? No land sculpting I take it?

I actually don't know if there's gonna be sculpting.

From what little I have followed on the project. I do not believe so. I think it is more of a resource management-city/world builder. I backed the game, I think, but with the new website I can not find anyplace to log into my account and I have lost my original email. So I have no idea if there is some form of backer account portal I can log into to see what level I backed at. But as it was a while ago and if it did go through, which I am sure it did, I should be getting access to Alpha.

I think after the over-glorified sandbox of Godus I really don't care if another game has sculpting in it. It is a neat mechanic, but not everything - unless that game is a...#steamingpileofgodus one-trick pony. I would rather there be a priority in an actual game to play, and The Universim's devs already sound like they have much better idea on how to accomplish that. Plus there is a bit of that "Molyneux Charm" of the games from Bullfrog, which seems to be missing from Godus, present in The Universim - the people look like little blobs from a distance...wait, they ARE little blobs/Nuggets: theuniversim.com/meet-nuggetsMost importantly, each of those little guys has their own identity and thoughts, something that adds a bit of connection in a god game/sim.
