I'm guessing no one paid close attention to the Markus Persson tweet above coz I had expected some comments on that one. I'm wondering if the fact that the godus documentary is nearly finished means that the project is nearly finished.

Don't do it, Monkeythumbz! It has been tried before as folks go back over some of their films later - it usually turns into an attempt at alcohol poisoning!

I'm guessing no one paid close attention to the Markus Persson tweet above coz I had expected some comments on that one. Like I said, I can't see them on my mobile, so I miss a lot because I forget to check when I get home. I've seen errors like that on Steam before - it's usually a cache error or server connection issue. Pretty hilarious to see though. I'm wondering if the fact that the godus documentary is nearly finished means that the project is nearly finished. Yeah, how can a "making of" documentary be done before the project is finished?

Wait wait wait. How is it you're asking about that now, when it probably would make more sense to have started asking this as soon as they were putting together the art book? It's the same problem, in a way, as to push out the art book before the game's complete makes about as much sense as pushing out a documentary, since it will be incomplete and lacking in material from the rest of the game. Unless both are portraying the ideal development of the game into what they presented during the Kickstarter, but inexplicably never delivered to us. In which case we'll really be left wondering what alternate dimension they pulled that from and why they didn't organize a lawsuit against the even less appealing parallel dimension version of themselves that denied us their work, making us stranded with an equally unappealing version in the process. It's a vicious loop, whenever one unpleasant dimension steals from the "better" dimension the better dimension can only recover by reclaiming what made it better from the unpleasant, inevitably leading to neither dimension satisfying itself leaving us in an absurd limbo of mediocrity. Fortunately, however, there probably was no dimension into which the proper game slipped, and instead the works will be only an incomplete portrayal of a game that built foundations for a grand squandering.

For a variable of an infinite number of potential alternate universes, it may in fact be possible that perhaps in one of them 22cans pitched and developed an honest Kickstarter contract/Early Access product.

Possible, but not probable when we factor in the potential for cascading mediocrity should each become aware of the others' betterness and try to steal from the other leading to neverending, "Mine!" "No, mine!" conflicts. =P

Well quite 'The story so far...' would be a more apt title. There's *a lot* of footage that's been shot over the last 3 years and its been edited into quite a comprehensive documentary. I'm sure you guys will find it quite interesting when it gets released and no doubt have a lot of 'enthusiastic' opinions about some of the content:) It needs a little more refining and a few bits adding etc. but I don't expect it to be far away now...

We have a lot of conflicts between what 22cans is doing now and previous promises. For example, documentary on progress so far is great, documentary on progress so far being considered the official record of making of is bad. Same with the story, we've added some of the story (backstory perhaps) is great, we've added the story, is bad. There is a trend here and a warning for future comms. If you are clear that you aren't just ticking boxes in your communication then you are more likely to get a positive response. If the documentary is an honest reflection by 22cans I am very excited about seeing it.

My previous post might not have been that clear. What I'm trying to say is that if you clarify that your action is part of meeting a promise, not to be taken as meeting the promise, then the reponse will be more positive. Just a tip and an observation, not complaining.

I heard it will be a series with at least five seasons at HBO (for the next five or six years). It's called "Game of Faults". Lot's of blood and nudity ... and dragons.
I wasn't really surprised about the documentary beeing ready soon. That's the 22cans way - designdocument is written after the game is made, documentary is ready before the game is done, ... game ... oops, we forgot about that.

How can the documentary be ready before the game is complete. I think I know how, someone's been and borrowed a copy from the spaceball's video library haven't they... Good question : it's the case for most of the original KS "rewards" . I'd like to know about the people who have pledge to participate to a few parts of the game design making, and well, who went to the E3, 10 millions years ago...
