People at 22cans,
Every God deserves an Altar of Worship!
To expand on my previous Altar of Worship idea: just as you have a choice of flags, here you could have a choice of a God or Goddess of "peace" which would be a white marble figure with a yellow eternal flame (holding a dove or wreath) and would increase happiness slightly worldwide. Or the player could choose a God or Goddess of "war" which would be a black figure with a green eternal flame (holding a sword or whatever) and this choice would increase ore and or wheat production slightly worldwide. That would be quite epic IMHO. Players are likely to be more invested in a game which becomes more "personalized" and hence spend more time and money playing your addicting little game. Good luck! I wouldn't underestimate how many players would happily zoom in and watch tiny people laying offerings at the base of their "Altar of Worship" and bowing down to it. Each time a Follower's energy meter dropped and he or she went back to their abode they could return bearing another offering. This will work best if you make the bowing as servile and obsequious as possible! Obviously, when the ceremony ends happiness or production drops again and the player has to come back again and activate the ceremony again, etc., etc.... For a sound effect a little repeating gong sound would be cool. If it were me, I would limit the effect to 30 minutes.
Possible variation: worshippers at the "good" God altars could be joyous and worshippers at the "evil" God altars could be servile and sort of groveling. The "good" God could receive offerings of flowers which disappear in a puff of pixie dust; the "bad" God could receive tiny sheep which burst into flames and vanish when they are placed at the base of the altar. Cool. Hard choice!
Well, think about it. I just thought I would elaborate on one of the ideas just to put the entire scope and potential out for your consideration and amusement. It's been fun! Now I think I will go back to one of my projects which is profitable. Happy Holidays!
Cheers,
