Hello Everyone,
If they are recently converted and you can’t find them, it may be because they didn’t survive the journey to your colony. To remedy this, use the boost option as they travel.
I had four Astari converted and only three made it. Like many other people, I waited at my colony and looked for the unhappy faces so I could leash them and they could make their own home. I couldn’t find the fourth and never found out what happened. I assumed s/he/they drowned.
So I made a point of watching their festival, watching the perimeter for converts, and followed them to my colony. I took turns clicking on each one and boosted every time. They get tired quickly, especially when swimming. They were running low almost every time, and it only took a couple of seconds to boost and click through all four.
You can select them as soon as they leave the Astari perimeter. (The area doesn’t need to be activated by a beacon to do this.) Boosting them doesn’t cost more then boosting a breeder or farmer (which is nothing).
It also speeds things up to have empty plots / homes available for them beforehand. They assimilate into society faster and it minimizes everyone’s unhappiness. Afterwards, I place a holy tree nearby and/ or make it rain purity for encouragement and to show acceptance.
I don’t have the ability to sculpt the lower ocean floors yet, so I’m creating what peninsulas I can to give them a break on the way over. I’m also going to put torches out to light the way. (I’m not sure yet how much of a difference these efforts will make.)
I hope this helps!
