Yesterday morning, I was overjoyed to find that I had converted 15 Astari to my side. However, I can't find them. I searched my lands, their lands, the untouchable lands and even the sea as well, but can't find them anywhere. Can anyone help?
Bit of background: There's only 7 left after I (accidentally) burned their village with the Finger of God and some swamps, so I hope to get some Astari before they're wiped out. I even made a large place for them to set up camp.

I had a load of mine, on android, semi drowning at a very high cliff edge as they had swum over to the closest edge to astari lands, when I'd FoG-ed the trees during their festival, it killed about 200 hundred of them, not my intent have to say but they ran into the trees...
I'd be looking for unhappy faces but they also have a way of landing in areas you have no way of getting to.
I got 10 from that set I think which saw a few small huts being able to be built but I could not get them all to build nor enter almost build buildings.

Too bad! The Astari may prove to be a valuable resource in a future update! It's not clear to me from your post if you are still in Home world or if you are in Weyworld. If you are still in Homeworld, off the seven remaining Astari, get the ark and get to Weyworld. Things are somewhat more rational in Weyworld and the Astari are easier to collect.
As you expand your domain (with beacons) the converted Astari change their point of entry. They make an annoying "sad" sound and unhappy face bubbles float up from them. Sometimes, I believe, they commit mass suicide by traveling into unknown lands or perhaps the ocean like lemmings. Once you ascertain they're point of entry into your domain, leash them with your God-like powers and lead them to a suitable spot to build. Not always easy as some of them are incredibly lazy or stupid. You will lose some. Persevere.
Once, in Home world I had about twenty or thirty of them stream into an abode designed to fit five and then just vanish out of existence. These things happen. Don't worry there are about a thousand of them in Home world and Weyworld combined. One more thing, if you actually watch their stupid ceremony many more will convert (assuming your happiness is higher than theirs). If I don't watch their dumb "celebration" I usually get just one. I'm hoping they develop some use in a future update and I will be glad I collected them.
If you are already in Weyworld you are probably out of luck. Your best bet then would be to not watch the ceremony, and try to collect them one at a time.
Cheers, M aka Darkmoon Dragon

Thanks for the replies everyone! My Astari haven't popped up yet (nor do I see any unhappy faces), so I could only assume that they have been given a place to stay in my Follower's abodes (how nice). Though good to know that I can have a chance to recruit lots more in the next world! I'm in HomeWorld, though am steadily building my way to Astari Village and hopefully WeyWorld! I'll mine for all the gems I could first though. That in itself is going to be a fun adventure. As for the seven remaining Astari, I had to make the sad decision to squish them. Their happiness bar was a threat to mine... Such is war I suppose. And Thinking back, I believe I saw one or two unhappy faces, but there was no Astari there oddly. Le gasp! They have the ability to turn invisible!

If they have been able to either build homes or whatever their buildings are slightly different to normal They typically show a red silhouette for the body count and have a little tent/washing line outside them, though that has changed slightly with the xmas makeover.

Alas, no washing line houses for me. I was hoping for some.
Onwards to Astari Village!

So it's been about a week since I arrived in Weyworld. This time, my goal is to amass a small community of Astari (in part to make up for accidentally burning down their entire village in Homeworld). Never thought I'd be guilty of genocide. Progress has been a bit strange. I've seen the behaviour that you mentioned, though I decided to experiment a bit to see what's really going on. Black box testing, so to say. Anyways, hope this info is of use to anyone reading this. * Day 1 - I started out with one homeless Astari and leashed him to a spot where he made a tiny dwelling. Joy! * Day 2 - More Astari converted. They just knelt down and died as they entered home soil. One made it to the tiny dwelling so it's capacity is now 2/2 * Day 3 - Tried feeding tired Astari arrivals so they don't starve on their long trek. They have more energy to make to the dwelling now and none died along the way. 9 of 9 filed into the tiny dwelliing. Occupancy is now 9/2. Attempts to leash Astari citizens to build abodes failed. They just wandered back to the tiny dwelling. * Day 4 - Feed Astari arrivals like yesterday. Maybe I missed something. . Once again, they filed into the tiny dwelling. Occupancy is now strangely 0/2. * Day 5 - Smoothed out the land in the hopes Astari arrivals can build new abodes for their kind. Once again, they disappeared. * Day 6 - Smoothed mountainscape so that they fall less. Chances are that as converted Astari, they might not survive falling huge distances. It did nothing. Admitedly, hearing their tiny voices was fun. * Day 7 - Sprinkled Astari arrival's path with blessings in the hopes that it makes them happy enough to make it all the way. Nothing changed. * Day 8 - I think wheat may be an issue. Not going to build anything for next day or two to save up lots of wheat. Nothing changed. The Astari just keep on filling the tiny dwelling and then disappearing. Leashing only made them walk around in circles before going back into that one dwelling. Stop going to the tiny dwelling! *flails* * Day 9 - Couldn't take it anymore. Did a drastic thing where after the festival, saw an Astari walking back to the tiny dwelling. Leashed out two of them. *Squashed* their home in an annoyed huff. Amazingly, because the two occupants were outside, they started to build huge Astari abodes with pretty flags! Occupancy rates are now around 1/13 for the Lodge and I think 1/33 for the Manor. I'm happy now.* Day 10 - Unknown Looking forward to see if the Astari fill up the abodes like their supposed to.

You have the cutest avatar. Thanks~! Not sure if the forum allows links, so I've sent you a PM. Also, a small update - newly recruited Astari have filed into the half empty abodes. Going to continue this over the next few days to see what happens when the abodes get full. I haven't tried leashing out the 13 or so already collected in case they disappear and mess up the experiment.

I've been keeping track of the Astari and can confirm that the converted ones just keep on filing into the nearest Astari abode - whether it is full or not. Thus the occupancy counter will just keep on looping.
I have been wanting to try other ideas such as leashing them and creating new abodes, but I haven't been able to get into my game for the past two days. I just see the grey progress bar at the bottom without a status like 'Loading' or 'Unpacking'. I've tried clearing the data and force closing, but it just keeps on getting stuck there. Are the Godus servers down?
That being said, my schedule's also changed too, so now I can stay and watch the Astari festival. This means that I only get one converted Astari instead of say 12 and most likely they'll just keep on refilling the same abode.

So this will pretty much be my last diary entry - either I'm going into lurk mode after this or disappearing.
The last few days I've seen the same pattern. Whether I'm at the Astari festival or not, the converted flow into the nearest converted Astari abode.
At that point in time, I was converting about 12 a day, with about 844 or so left. Taunting Astari are located on the grey land, which means I cannot smite them.
I then had two choices: Option 1: Keep trying to login a few times a day to keep my followers happy. The Blessings spell no longer lasts as long, so I have to resort to my one fountain. Or sprinkle blessings on my people during the festival. Estimated time to convert all Astari without death is about a month or so.
Option 2: Be mean and burn all Astari. Intentionally this time.
I went for Option 2, using Finger of God and Meteor to flush them out. Meteor was more effective, considering I had lots of Belief to spare. It scared the Astari out of their homes and also burned them. I liked collecting the free wheat from their farms. (Yay freebies!)

CoffeeCat will always be here in a warm little mug. I'll stick around, but probably less visible as I'm not actively playing the game, so can't really comment on things with accuracy.

As FuriousMoo has revealed on my Questions concerning the Astari thread, the Astari society is not well and are in need of reprogramming help. Personally I am collecting as many as possible in the hopes of their future rehabilitation. An equally valid response would be to crush them. It is really a personal call at this point as far as I can tell. I have a stable community of perhaps 200 of them in several villages. Only time will tell if it was a wasted effort. I will continue to push for their eventual rehabilitation and emergence into sanity and usefulness.
When the Astari taunt you keep in mind that they're not "well."
I remain provisionally hopeful.

I had an odd blip in my post astari integration last night on droid. So my weyworld villages had an unfortunate series of incidents with flying rocks which saw many astari doing their torch impressions. Two of the villages have astari structures (aside from temples) and currently with the need for so much ore and crop to allow the new pair of expansions it's been a week of not quite enough of either but I'd just got enough ore to unlock one before I noticed the crop requirement. My bad, there was me building abodes instead of saving my crops for the expansion - anyway with no wild astari I though I should at least tidy up their ex-villages, in doing so I glanced the farmer settlement and noticed I've got 454 breeders and 45 (or whatever) farmers - admiittedly I could not send all of them out even after I max expanded the astari land but it made a big difference to my other wise half dozen crop gather areas in weyworld! Now none of these villages is actually connected to the bits of weyworld I've been populating, as yet which is why I had missed this settlement body count before.
So I went to the other similar village and found it at 0 of 454, so I'm not sure why they are so different - in my PC game my attentions removed all astari plots and building (except one field) so I've no point of reference. There was a google update for the game yesterday but I've no reason to believe this was the source of the sudden pop growth in that one village - which by the way appears to have no bearing on my actually population, and although I've not been able to encourage the weyworld temples to show me a body count since the astari were converted, and hit 0 - I only had about 250 of them, and with breeders and farmers this village is nearly double that.

I'm having Astari issues too. I've got like five or six total in my village, but I've converted more than that. Somehow the missing Astari seem to be driving happiness down, leading me to believe they are invisible, even though I gave them up for dead, or eaten by a Jabberwocky. It's getting on my nerves, and I can't find any sad face icons - but I've heard the sound a few times. Anyone got any suggestions? Also I noticed despite what I do to the terrain, they seem hell-bent upon swimming in near where my voyage ship is sitting like a fat, useless duck. Does that area have to be a certain way? I did some terraforming around it to keep it pretty.

I had a slightly different situation, but it might help. In Weyworld, I heard the sad sound, and like you saw no sad faces. It turns out that several of my blue followers were stranded on the two mini islands that lead up to the Ark. Go south west from the globe monument and you should find the two mini islands. Chances are, people might be on them.
That being said, I have now obliterated all the enemy Astari. Only two converted ones remain in my abodes. However, the happiness meter keeps on dropping even though there is no sad sound. I just let it drop though as there are no enemy Astari to be worried about.

Good point, those two followers, and only two in my experience can be easily missed - they do not seem to appear there immediately - thus far in PC and droid I'd presumed they were supposed to be 2 of my followers who saw the error of their ways when they immediately converted to astari on the first festival.
