Today, Peter, Jack and Konrad will be going over some of the main concerns brought up by the Godus Community over the last couple weeks as well as the future of Godus.

I actually enjoyed watching that video. LMAO about Peter talking. I could pick apart a lot of what he said but I'm not gonna. I lol'ed at this part: "Konrad absolutely loves Godus... I think".

The look on Konrad's face after several things Peter says is fantastic. I think FuriousMoo is going places. I listened to it at work and had to hold back from laughing a few times, as well as guffawing at some of the (ridiculous) things Peter and Jack state. PS; Am I the only one that thought, "Wow, his forum image really does look like him."

First of all I noticed Peter only mentioned the two people we knew were working on GODUS now. Whether there are 6 or whatever isn't clear. Also although you know full support of 22Cans, yada, yada, no real commitment to resourcing.
The money in the bank story is interesting. First of all we know apple take 30% of every dollar so that is easy. Peter is suggesting other people have their hand in the till so obviously DeNA. What disturbs me about that is that in this scenario its Apple and DeNA that get theirs. The players might be screwed, the employees might be screwed, Peter might even be screwed but as long as DeNA get theres its ok. Finally on the money front if the staffing split is 22/6 or something similar then GODUS is still subsidising non-GODUS which I think is unfair to Moo's efforts. The way Peter talks it feels like the publisher/middleware (I don't know why they get a cut does anyone know)take quite a bit. I would suggest that the implication is 22Cans is getting less than half (although that may not be the case) which I think is a worry given the models they have been operating under.
Finally I'd like to see a Steam/Early Access versus Mobile breakdown of revenue.

Also I think Peter's plan for making lots of money is to get bought out. I think its what he dreams of.

Oh and one final thought on money, I think the 22Cans structure is massively top heavy. They needed to be more indie. You cant be an indie and have all this middle management/bureaucracy bullshit. Im not against some project management but do you need production signing everybody out to have a shit and coordinating who goes for a smoke when. Even having community managers is a stretch, I mean Moo shows you can just front it as one of the development team which saves on relaying messages back and forth.

So we've had nearly 3 months (or is it more?) of various 2 week sprints, and nothing to show for them...

The way Peter talks it feels like the publisher/middleware (I don't know why they get a cut does anyone know)take quite a bit. The middleware, Marmalade, takes a cut in the form of general sub fee for usage. Whether that folds into any sort of licensing fees (I imagine it does), I'm not sure, but that's a fairly hefty sub fee, especially when you factor in however the support is handled (another $500 per 3 hours of support? what?).
