Today, here at the 22cans Tower it’s been all hands on deck with the release of the Rock Paper Shotgun article. Our Phone has been ringing all day with journalists asking for a response. Apart from that, work on the story continues as production begins to merge code to the PC build and is looking to release a new build to the Opt-In branch later this week.
Design
- Continuing work on the story mode, polishing it up and getting it ready for the Opt-In branch.
- Rebuilding custom font for story text
- Long bug triage session with Andy and Fabs
Production
- Helping sort out interviews needed to respond to the Rock Paper Shotgun article
- Having a Godus bug triage with fabs and Konrad to discuss priorities for bug fixing before the Story Mode release
- Merging code down to the PC branch to try to get a stable opt-in build ready
Programming
- Continuing work on the story mode transitions
- Working on new chest models for the story mode
- Fixing various bugs that are currently affecting the story mode
QA
- Maintaining build stability
- Verifying Android build fix allowing for testing of Android build once more
- Assisting with the triage of current bugs in the database, rechecking issues where required
- Getting Android and iOS builds ready for external testers overnight.
Support
- Working through new tickets logging instances of current bugs live in the game
- Providing troubleshooting steps to help players recover lost progress.
Community
- Monitoring our social media channels
- Offering assistance to players who are currently suffering from bugs
- Recording instances of current live bugs
- Acquiring Lunch (Stealing chocolate from production)
- Reading over current press articles
- Checking why the e-mails were bouncing and resolving that issue
- Gathering social media statistics
- Responding to our Kickstarter backer inbox messages
- Looking at ways to make the Daily Dev blog more personal
- Chasing various team members to gather information for today’s blog
