Now as we have non-backers on here as well I think it's a good idea to post this update on here. If this is against some rules I don't know about, please let me know/delete this post!
I think I am done, I've written off my money a long time ago, thankfully it wasn't as much as some of you paid. What bugs me most is the trailer, zooming in on the ipad, no mention of Godus being developed for PC first and foremost, but well it's the direction we have expected Godus to go, so no real surprise.

I couldn't care less. Again overpromising. Now it's Hubworld, that's not one Jupiter sized world, it's many small worlds with a aggregated plane like Jupiter. I've looked at my old postings at 22cans forum. Since DeNa Deal I complained a lot and people told me i should wait, anything will be fine ... it's in Alpha, Beta, Early Access, 49% complete, 51% complete, when it's done it will be the greatest game of all times... nothing changed. Every single "complain" and every single fear i had is now thruth.
I don't want to see what they do with my money anymore. I don't want to waste my time in the forum and trying to get some answers or hope it will all be good (even now i have this hope - but also i think the rest of my backerrewards will be like anything else i got from them, loveless and cheap).
I stopped playing the game before beta came out, that was the time i realized they only needed us as tester and our money. The videos were enough to see what's going on. I can't believe there really are people who want to play this game. It's like i go back in time and play games on my Atari 2600 Wood. But no, even Moon Patrol was more fun and more challenging than Godus. And the games on my CPC464, 664, C64, C128d, Amiga .. are much better. Maybe that's the point, i play games for over 30 years now, i have seen them all and i have seen the evolution of games. When i was young i thought, what great games and in 10 or 20 years the possibilities will be endless, but at one point there was a break and since then i have the feeling we go the other direction again. That was the motivation to go to Kickstarter and now i am funding games which have the purpose to make kids steal the credit cards of their parents to buy some stickers.

I have been all over Steam last few days. Azalia Razor in the flesh here, I am subscribed to 13 active threads there. The posters were asking for answers left and right. Matthew jumped onto 22cans and after an hour of being online not posting, no biggy , guess he was reading first. He responded to my and Ba'al's PMs and whoever else's and maybe hit what four threads at the backer's forums? When I asked him why he was not at Steam and just now at 22cans. He told me it was because now, he does have other things to do and never meant he did not and then after us backers he would go to Steam. I just checked out Steam after a few hours and he seems to have made one new thread and not responded to the others. So a total of about 6 threads between the two in 6 hours. My goodness, the work load is so heavy. It does not add up.
I am sorry Matthew, but if you work 20 hours a day, what else are you doing? I thought you said they gave you help and your main concern was to be the liason for the community? Please don't snow us, you know it won't work. I told him I would hold him to his promises and all I hear is I agree with you on this and I promise you that......please don't let this be another PR stunt to get more money.
Here is what I think. Every single step he makes and every single word he says he has to run by someone else and that is why he can't sit down for a half hour and read and respond to posts like anyone else can. You read a post and respond it is that simple and it should be or there is handling and manipulation and spin being done. This is something we are all sick of.

Hahahahahah! That trailer video is just SCREAMING to be abused! Also, couldn't they fucking take 5 minutes to sit down for this video instead of bouncing around over street with horrible picture and audio quality? Geez.

I feel the same way. I think the problem arose with games becoming popular with the masses. Back in the time you described we were sort of outcasts. Well we weren't shunned but we were definitely a relatively small group of people who banded together to play video games while others were outdoors doing whatever the hell they were doing. Not that I never went outdoors but you get the idea. Back then games were cool and original. Nowadays it seems everybody plays games except for me. Only what they consider games don't seem like much fun to me. It's like games hardly have any replay value or depth anymore. But perhaps that is a topic best kept for another thread.

*elevator music starting to play*
*a gentle, mumbling voice starting to speak*
What is Godus?
Imagine a world full of people you have to nurture, because they are as dump as a bread. Full of people who get lost every second you don't look for them. Imagine a land that is infinitely boring and you have to flatten it completely. Where your godpowers make no difference. Over time your people don't evolve, they stay as dump as they were. And may one day we will be advanced enough so we can do the remaining 49% of the game, so they can reach the spaceage. Or this even more amazing that your land and it's dumb people are connected (we don't even know by our selfs how we did this). The liveless lands of all people tricked into playing this game are connected together. All of us playing together tracing an entire set tradingcards. It's up to 50 million $ we want to make with this game.
Coming soon to the App Store and Steam (that's a warning)

Anybody want to bet we'll be trading stickers in the first hubworld? Something occurred to me recently. Anybody remember the KS prototype? How they sculpted and followers grew in numbers and finally there was this big battle. They 'failed' to put pink bubbles into that one. The videos, and KS result would have been a lot different then.

It's like going back to school... I'll swap you Peter Beardsley for Ian Rush...

...and followers grew in numbers and finally there was this big battle. At first They were benevolent. Their goal was noble, and would bring much joy. They won us over with trinkets. They gave us the very keys to their world. A world we could shape in our own image. When the betrayal came, no one was prepared. A few soothsayers foresaw the signs, but these were quickly silenced. They never broke their benign character, but tensions were ever rising. Some realised that they had been lulled to accepting a false reality. We fought them on the forums. Many joined the rebellion, and new fronts started to appear. We fought Their Steam Machines, and DeNA reprogrammed bird soldiers. We would never get to Their leader though. He went underground as soon as the war broke out. He knew the only way to win was not to play.

I guess your right, but I got that it was partially a "Sam" issue by the way some of what Matthew has said, about he's not Sam and things are going to be different now. I made that rather large post on both forums and I am just waiting patiently to see those questions answered. If not, then hands go in air. I can already see more and more people being okay with the F2P bleeding into the PC game.

I still have a ton of questions outstanding on that thread I created specifically for Matthew on the day of his big "things are gonna change" speech.
