Posted this on Steam:
For all people who think kickstarter backers got more information
This is a inoffical backer faq from July 2013 - which i have written after 3 month of frustration. And it shows very detailed how the communication between 22cans and the backers worked. After July it got even worse.
I have a question what should I do?
Don't ask.
I really have an important question, what should I do?
Really, don't ask.
Why should i not ask my question?
Whith asking questions you destroy the peace and harmony in this forum. Nobody can concentrate on really love each other and that's what Bob teached us in addition to a few other things.
What is this forum good for then?
You can report bugs, make suggestions, praise the developers, praise the game, ask what the weather is like in guildford, and "maybe" we'll read it and "maybe" we'll integrate it in the game ... "maybe" not.
I thought I should not ask questions, why should i ask what the weather is in guildford?
There are good questions and bad questions, you know? That's a good question.
But it is a really really important question.
Look in the faq.
My question is not in the faq?
It's a living document, it "maybe" will there one day. And "maybe" there will be an answer in it that "maybe" will have a lot of "maybe" in it. You'll see, "maybe".
What's going on with all this "maybe"s?
We have years of experience in game-industry. We know if we say "maybe" we can tell you later that you completely misinterpreted this stuff.
But i thought this kickstarter is about openness, co-operation, honesty, participation and involvement?
You have completely misinterpreted this.
I have asked my question anyway. And now?
What Do you think who you are? Asking questions? Stop this.
I got no answer on it, only guessing of some other users. But someone told me it will be addressed in one of the next updates. That was 5 weeks ago. So I asked again.
Oh my "Brian"!!! What have you done? Now the augurs (Moderators at 22cans Forum) have to report this to the developers. They have to read this, then they have to sit down for a week and discuss this until they find the best way to avoid answering this question.
If they don't find a way they have to discuss another week how to say something releated without saying anything at all. Then we have to write dozens of posts telling that this question has been answered 50 times and you should stop complaining.
But wouldn't it be easier to answer these questions?
I can not give you a validated answer on this question.
Who can?
"Maybe" Peter, but he has to read ten-thousand mails a day.
Should I write him a mail then, to ask the question?
What's your problem? Peace and harmony!! YOU GOT IT NOW?
EDIT: Nov. 30.
Can it get any worse?
Of course!
This is a living document and is not intended to be complete ... maybe. But maybe it gets deleted. And maybe my last post for a long time, i lost faith into this.
