Today, here at the 22cans Production, QA and Community have been monitoring the Steam forums, logging any new bugs that have crept in with the latest Opt-In. We’ve been relaying this information back to Design and Programming, who have been working on fixes all day.
Design
- Added story translations to the opt in stream
- Fixed a bunch of typos in the story text
- Combat design continues
Programming
- Removed weird title from story journal
- Made quality settings available again
- Helped getting Richard set up with Xcode and assigned a few bugs to him
- Fixed issue with text height being wrong when changing languages
- Ate chicken and rice
QA
- Added the bugs from the PC version of Godus we released on Friday into the bug database ready to be worked on
- Regressed fixes made to the PC version (adding Quality Settings, Localisations for the Journal, etc)
- Constantly checked the Steam forums for any more bugs that might have cropped up
- Triaged bugs entered by external testers over the weekend
- Smoke checked a build for tonight’s testing
- Written directions for tonight’s testing
Internal QA & Community Support
- Collecting details required before starting the Making-0f Book
- Helping out on third party Facebook Groups
Community
- Attempted to finish the Community report today, but proved to quite hard when the internet stopped working
- Replied to some Kickstarter Backers inbox messages
- Looking over the Steam forums logging new bugs that have been reported from the new update
- Proofread the story mode text
- Battled with wordpress’s formatting in attempt to write today’s Daily Dev blog
Production
- Been watching the Steam forums for useful feedback. There’s some good stuff there that we are taking into account
- Helped with the on boarding of Richard, our new gameplay programmer on Godus
- Talked with design about possible voiceovers for the story content
- Proofread some of the first story version
