Today, here at the 22cans Tower. We’ve continued working on the story mode making the Homeworld and Weyworld story separate making it possible to add more story! Also our new Programmer, Richard is settling into his new role.
Design
- Continuing work Combat design continues
- Attended Analytics meeting
- Attended PR strategy meeting
Production
- Tidying up our build machine and preparing for a drop to steam tonight
- Attended a meeting to chat about the upcoming combat sprint and how we’re going to implement that
- Attended meeting with one of our useful PR friends to discuss some communication plans for going forward.”
Programming
- New version of LCD for mobile
- Weyworld story is now separate from homeworld story, giving us the possibility of adding more story!
- Fixing issues with collected gems being revoked
- Adding VFX to story menu
- Fixing astari issues in weyworld
- Fixed a bug that could destroy your savegame! This isn’t very common,
- Also fixed a problem with Valentine’s day stuff happening when it shouldn’t.
- Continuing to set up build environment Getting used to the codebase by investigating some story mode bugs
QA
- Triaged bugs from testers overnight
- Put together a list of bugs to look into from Steam forums relating to latest Opt-In build
- Regressed fixes from the code team
- Analysed what could possibly be causing the rare crash on Mac during launch
- Smoke testing a build for testers overnight
- Writing testing direction for testers
QA & Community
- Collecting examples of existing “Making-of” books
- Getting quotes on our desired number of pages and required total of books
- Securing funding/resources to begin creation
Community
- Finished this fortnight’s community report
- Attended meeting for this weeks community and customer support review
- Created a task list for work for the rest of this week and next week
- Logging various bugs from the community
- Looking over various posts from the forums and Facebook group
