So yea, I've no idea if anyone else has discovered this, but if you quit the game before failing a voyage you won't lose any of your followers.
The reason I discovered this is because I swear to god the last challenge of the first (JOY) voyage is bugged. The champions are climbing up hills that should be impassable. The sculpting is too sluggish to respond in time. The followers are taking highly illogical paths, often in the opposite direction of the one I've hastily crafted for them. Contrary bastards. I should smite them.
Considering this is now the only way I can get stickers for their stupid card system, I'm at the point where I've run out of patience for this game. If after the big update we haven't seen a proper resource system, we're not going to. If we've not seen sculpting made more mouse friendly, we're not going to (I've tried with the next best thing to a finger, a graphics tablet. It works fairly nicely, except I can't navigate very well.). I've defended the game and the actions of 22Cans in the vain hope that they were going to work out the kinks, that it was just early in development and that everyone makes mistakes.
I've had enough. I'll believe that the game I backed exists when I see it.
And do you know what stings the most? It's not the money I've clearly wasted. It's not seeing the potential for the god game I've been waiting years for being torn to pieces in front of me. It's the fact that this has come from the same mind that made the large majority of my childhood games. Hell, Black & White was one of the first games I really got into and it was Dungeon Keeper before that!
I've put 26 hours into the game, and a lot of that I actually enjoyed. But I was carrying myself on the idea that the full experience was yet to come, that our proper PC god game was definitely in the works. This new update, and the latest videos however, have shown me how wrong I was.
Once again. *SIGH*
EDIT: I've read this back again and feel odd that this was the straw that broke the camel's back.
