Today, here at the 22cans Towers. Design continue working on the design plans for the combat sprint and coming up with ideas for unit generation and movement controls. Also, our studio webcam is now up and running again and you can see all the shenanigans within the Godus team. You can find the stream on our official Twitch.tv channel
Design
- Attended design meeting covering the resource-requisition for the combat sprint
- Continuing work on the design for the combat sprint
- Diving into unit generation and movement controls
Programming
- Attempting to reproduce Android bug fixes
- Looking into various Priority one bugs and seeing what might be causing them
QA
- Triaging the bugs from last night’s testing
- Attempting to reproduce a crash when entering Voyages that a Steam Forum user seems to be experiencing
- Reproducing issues assigned to me for more information throughout the day
- Smoke testing a build. Basically just making sure there’s no major breakages which would prevent testing overnight
- Checking the Test Plan for what’s been done and what’s yet to be done
- Writing the direction email for testers overnight”
Community
- Prioritising our Support team’s workload
- Began work on a community management plan
- Entering bugs into JIRA that have ben reported from the community and support tickets
- Attended a design meeting for the combat design
Production
- Setting up the webcam
- Working on a community management plan
- Answering questions for a local newspaper
- Helping with some of the Making Of video filming
- Had a design meeting about Combat and how we’re going to implement the first pass.
- I’ve got a phone call with our publisher tonight to discuss the bug fixes that have been done for Mobile and when we’re going to release them
Programming (Richard)
- Tackled a variety of different bugs around the codebase, to increase my familiarity with different area (UI, God powers and Followers)
- Spent an extended amount of time familiarising myself with the Lua scripts the game uses.
